Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh begins official visit to Qatar

Immediately after successfully concluding his working trip to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, on the evening of October 30, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his wife, along with a high-ranking Vietnamese delegation, arrived at Doha International Airport.

The official visit to Qatar by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his wife along with a high-ranking Vietnamese delegation took place from October 30 to November 1 at the invitation of Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jasim Al-Thani.

Qatar is the final stop on the three-country Middle Eastern trip of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his wife along with the Vietnamese high-ranking delegation.

With the foundation of a good relationship over the past 3 decades, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh’s official visit to the State of Qatar this time will contribute to strengthening political trust between the two countries; creating momentum, opening a new phase of cooperation in the Vietnam - Qatar relationship; especially in attracting investment from Qatar to Vietnam and creating a breakthrough for Vietnamese goods and services to access the Qatar market and the region.

Immediately after arriving in the capital Doha, during his official visit to the State of Qatar, on the evening of October 30, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his wife, along with the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation, met with officials and staff of the Embassy and representatives of the Vietnamese community in Qatar.

Speaking at the meeting, bringing sentiments from his homeland to the staff of the Embassy and representatives of the Vietnamese community in Qatar, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh expressed his emotion at the sentiments and sincerity of the people.

The Prime Minister said that the Party and State consider the overseas Vietnamese community an inseparable part of the Vietnamese ethnic community; always taking care of the people regardless of whether they are Vietnamese at home or abroad; because our Party and State have no higher goal than bringing an increasingly happy and prosperous life to the people.

Analyzing the world situation in recent times, the Prime Minister shared the difficulties that people have experienced, especially during the pandemic and the impact of conflicts and fluctuations in the region; and was happy that the Vietnamese community has overcome difficulties with self-reliance, self-reliance and solidarity.

Through meetings with leaders of countries in the Middle East, the Prime Minister said that leaders of these countries all have innovative thinking, strategic vision, decisive actions, clear work, value time and intelligence, and all want to strengthen relations with Vietnam.
