The event was organized by the National Brand Council in coordination with the Ministry of Industry and Trade, aiming to demonstrate Vietnam's determination in building national, local, industry and business brands in a green and sustainable direction, responding to the strong shifting trend of the world market. The theme of this year's program emphasizes the transformation of the development model towards an environmentally friendly direction, actively contributing to the protection of the green planet and sustainable development. The selection of enterprises achieving National Brand has been conducted every two years since 2008 with the aim of encouraging enterprises to continue to share and pursue the values ​​of the program, enhancing pride in Vietnamese products.

After more than 20 years of formation and development, the Vietnam National Brand Program has affirmed itself as the only long-term, specific trade promotion program of the Government to build the image of Vietnam as a country with prestige in high-quality goods and services, increase the pride and attractiveness of the country and people of Vietnam, contribute to promoting foreign trade development and enhancing national competitiveness. In recent years, the Vietnam national brand has made great strides. Vietnam is not only in the Top 100 countries with strong brands, but also the country with the fastest growth rate in brand value in the world in the period 2019-2022. Vietnam's brand value in 2024 was ranked 32nd out of 193 countries assessed, reaching 507 billion USD, up 1 rank and 2% in value compared to 2023. At the event, the Organizing Committee announced and awarded the National Brand title in 2024 to 359 products of 190 enterprises out of more than 1,000 enterprises whose products participating in the program met the criteria of the Program.

Speaking here, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh pointed out that building and developing the Vietnamese national brand is a task of special importance and strategic significance, a mission of all of us with perseverance, effort and unceasing creativity; in which building national product brands is one of the core contents.

Appreciating and warmly congratulating the efforts and important contributions of the Vietnamese business community and enterprises, especially the 190 enterprises with products achieving the National Brand in 2024, the Prime Minister said that these are all enterprises with impressive business results with a total revenue of 2.4 million billion VND in 2023, total payment to the state budget of about 150 trillion VND, ensuring jobs for over 600 thousand workers, actively participating in social security activities, contributing to promoting the country's rapid and sustainable development.

Reviewing the more than 20-year process of formation and development of the National Brand Program, the Prime Minister affirmed that the Program has affirmed the quality of "Made in Vietnam" products and services, as well as the capacity, intelligence, bravery, flexibility and creativity of Vietnamese enterprises, contributing to building a solid position in the domestic market and beautifying the two words "Vietnam" in the international market; affirming the great contribution of Vietnamese enterprises in the process of building the National Brand.

The Prime Minister emphasized that in the context of digital transformation, green transformation, and energy transformation, it is an inevitable trend; the world is gradually shifting from a traditional resource-consuming economic model to a green economy, a circular economy, and a responsible one towards the community. Not outside of that trend, Vietnamese enterprises with their creativity can take advantage of this opportunity to rise up and play an active role in the global transformation. Therefore, enterprises with their national brands must not only develop traditional business sectors, but also focus on attracting investment and creating breakthroughs for pioneering sectors and fields; not only relying on capital and resource exploitation as before, but also relying on science, technology, and innovation; not only promoting and renewing traditional growth drivers but also promoting new growth drivers from the green economy, circular economy, and digital economy. "A brand is not only an affirmation of product quality, but also a commitment to sustainable development to move forward into the Green Era," the Prime Minister noted. The Prime Minister pointed out that enterprises achieving the National Brand in particular and the Vietnamese business community and entrepreneurs in general need to continue to promote the core values: Quality - Innovation - Creativity - Pioneering capacity; continue to promote the tradition of solidarity, attachment, for the benefit of enterprises associated with the interests of the nation and people, strive to overcome difficulties, innovate, constantly improve production and business efficiency and gradually improve competitiveness in the region and globally, contributing to the rapid and sustainable development of the country. Respecting intelligence, time, integrating core values ​​in each product In the coming time, the Prime Minister requires enterprises to constantly focus on exploiting opportunities from the trend of green growth and sustainable development; pioneering in the green revolution; taking advantage of the prestige of national brands domestic market, while combining product branding with Vietnam's national brand; actively seeking and expanding international markets and participating more deeply in global supply chains.
According to the Prime Minister, the beautiful image of each national brand will be a beautiful image of the brand of the country, traditions, culture, and people of Vietnam, especially in the context of the world promoting commitments on emission reduction and combating climate change, businesses need to proactively switch to green production models, using renewable energy and environmentally friendly technology. Believing that the success and development of the business community is a measure of the success in the State's management and administration, the Prime Minister said that the Government understands, shares, listens and will continue to have support solutions to remove difficulties, creating maximum conditions for enterprises to develop; Continue to perfect policy mechanisms, reform administrative procedures, improve the business investment environment - consider removing bottlenecks and barriers that cause difficulties for businesses as an important political task of all levels, sectors and localities. Emphasizing that in order to achieve the goals by 2030, Vietnam will be a developing country with modern industry and high average income, and by 2045, in the coming years, Vietnam must achieve a double-digit growth rate, the Prime Minister requested the Ministry of Industry and Trade, as the focal agency in charge of implementing the Vietnam National Brand Program, to closely coordinate with ministries, sectors and localities to receive proposals and recommendations from businesses, create favorable conditions and support for the business community; continue to propose and advise on creating a favorable, transparent and highly competitive legal environment in the region and globally; eliminate the "ask - give" mechanism, cut down and simplify administrative procedures, and improve the business investment environment; Prioritize emerging industries and fields, remove difficulties for investment and business. Along with that, promote development activities, expand and diversify export markets, diversify supply chains, support the connection of domestic and foreign enterprises, associated with supporting the construction, management and development of product brands, business brands, industries and countries, thereby contributing to improving the competitiveness of the country, industry, enterprises and products. With a high sense of responsibility, with the spirit and confidence of the whole country and the Vietnamese business community, the Prime Minister believes that in the coming time, there will be many enterprises that meet the criteria of the National Brand Program. The Prime Minister believes that the success of entrepreneurs and enterprises is also the success of the country, contributing to building the image of Vietnam as a green, creative and powerful developing country on the world map, marking the era of Vietnam's rise in the new era. The Vietnamese business community, with the core being enterprises with products achieving national brands, needs to continue to join hands, be unanimous, and strive to compete towards the goal of turning our country into a developing country with modern industry and high average income by 2030 and a developed country with high income by 2045 as set out by the 13th National Party Congress. The Prime Minister suggested that each entrepreneur demonstrate the spirit of solidarity, self-reliance, self-confidence, self-reliance, national pride, and the desire to rise up through concrete actions, together bringing the country into a new stage of development, catching up with trends, and preparing a mindset ready to enter a new era, which is the Era of the Vietnamese people's rise.
