On March 18, at the Government Headquarters, Comrade Pham Minh Chinh, Politburo member and Prime Minister, received Mr. Charles James Boyd Bowman, General Director of Trump Organization's projects in Vietnam.
Attending the reception, on the side of Hung Yen province, there were comrades: Nguyen Huu Nghia, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Tran Quoc Van, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee...
At the meeting, a representative of the Trump Organization reported on the project of an urban complex, eco-tourism, sports and high-end golf course to be invested in Khoai Chau district, Hung Yen province. The project has a total estimated investment of about 1.5 billion USD, proposed by a consortium of Hung Yen Investment and Development Group Joint Stock Company and IDG Capital (representing the Trump Organization).
According to the memorandum of cooperation signed on September 25, 2024 between the People's Committee of Hung Yen province and this consortium, the parties committed to funding research, survey, planning and implementation of the project, including: Urban complex, resort, eco-tourism, sports and high-class golf course in Khoai Chau district.
With a scale of about 722 hectares, the goal of this high-class urban, resort, eco-tourism, sports and golf course complex is to develop an urban and tourist area according to international standards, with synchronous technical and social infrastructure. From there, it contributes to promoting the potential and advantages of the area, while attracting tourists to visit and relax.
In addition, a rural residential area in Tu Dan commune (on an area of about 200 hectares) will be built with mixed functions, synchronous technical infrastructure, social infrastructure with housing according to regulations...
Speaking at the reception, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized that since Vietnam and the United States became Comprehensive Strategic Partners, bilateral economic and trade relations have continued to grow strongly. However, US investment in Vietnam still has much room for growth.
The Prime Minister suggested that the Trump Organization expand its investment in potential localities and fields in Vietnam; strengthen cooperation with Vietnamese enterprises, support them to participate in the global ecosystem and supply chain; and promote high-level visits between the two countries.
Mr. Charles James Boyd Bowman, General Director of the Trump Organization in Vietnam, expressed his gratitude for the support of the ministries, branches and Hung Yen province. He said that the company is working closely with the authorities to speed up the project's progress, aiming to complete it in March 2027 to serve the APEC 2027 Conference, making the golf course in Hung Yen one of the leading golf courses in Vietnam and a famous destination in the world.
In addition, the Trump Organization is researching expanding investment in other fields in Vietnam and promoting visits by the Group's leaders to Vietnam, contributing to enhancing Vietnam's image in the international arena and in relations with the US government.
