At the end of December 2022, Mr. Do was disciplined by the Prime Minister with a reprimand due to violations and shortcomings in his work.

These violations were concluded by the Central Inspection Commission at its meeting in early September 2022.

The Central Inspection Commission determined that the Party Executive Committee of the Ministry of Education and Training for the 2016-2021 term was irresponsible and lax in leadership and direction, allowing the Ministry and a number of groups and individuals to violate Party regulations and State laws in personnel work.

This collective also committed violations in the construction and promulgation of institutions and policies; implementation of a number of public investment projects; compilation, appraisal, publication and distribution of textbooks; organization of the national high school graduation exams in 2018 and 2021; a number of officials and party members in the sector were disciplined and criminally prosecuted.

According to the Party's inspection agency, responsibility for those violations belongs to the Party Executive Committee of the Ministry of Education and Training and the leaders and former leaders of the Ministry, including Mr. Nguyen Huu Do, Deputy Minister of Education.

The above violations and shortcomings, according to the Central Inspection Commission, have affected the implementation of the Resolution of the Central Executive Committee on education and training. In particular, they pose a risk of causing great loss and waste of State money, assets, and social resources; causing public outrage; and negatively affecting the reputation of the Party organization and the education sector.

Therefore, a series of leaders and former leaders of the Ministry of Education at that time were disciplined. Among them, Mr. Do received a Party disciplinary measure of reprimand.
