Training, competing, then going to the market and cooking, cleaning the house and learning English... that is the daily routine of 21-year-old goalkeeper Ho Tung Han in Singapore. During the days when Vietnamese people prepare to celebrate the Lunar New Year, the schedule of the goalkeeper born in 2003 is not much different, but a bit more special, when he focuses on making a delicious meal to treat himself.
Perhaps, this is also the thing that helps the player from Da Nang to ease his homesickness, when he can stand side by side with his parents and relatives on this special occasion of the Vietnamese people.
No road is paved with roses. To reach success, each player needs to practice constantly and even make sacrifices. Ho Tung Han is also on the same path. From Singapore, the 22-year-old goalkeeper shared: "My wish for the new year is for my parents to always be healthy. Besides, I also want to attend the 33rd SEA Games, as a way to keep my promise to my grandfather."
Ho Tung Han was born in 2003, 1.78 m tall, and grew up from the training center of Da Nang Club. Previously, Tung Han played for the U.19 Vietnam team, under the guidance of coach Dinh The Nam. He signed a contract to join Balestier Khalsa Club on loan, for a period of 5 months (until the end of the 2024 - 2025 season, from January 2025 to May 2025).
At present, Ho Tung Han has played for U.21 Balestier Khalsa. If he performs well, he will have the opportunity to wear the first team shirt of Balestier Khalsa Club, to compete in the Singapore national championship.
Not long ago, Balestier Khalsa Club said goodbye to two goalkeepers Mukundan Maran and Martyn Mun. Therefore, the opportunity for the 22-year-old Vietnamese goalkeeper to show his ability is quite bright. However, according to Tung Han, the biggest barrier at the Singaporean club is language, because the team has many foreign players of different nationalities.
