High School Graduation Exam 2025: There will be 2 exam questions suitable for 2 types of candidates

On March 24, the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) issued Official Dispatch No. 1239/BGDĐT-QLCL on guidance on some contents of organizing the 2025 High School Graduation Exam to the Departments of Education and Training of localities.

Accordingly, the 2025 High School Graduation Exam will be held on June 26 and 27. On June 25, candidates will complete exam registration procedures; on June 26 and 27, exam supervision will be held; and June 28 is the backup exam date.

The Ministry of Education and Training will have two exams suitable for two groups of students. The first is for independent candidates, taking the exam according to the 2006 general education program and the second is for candidates currently studying in grade 12, also the first group of candidates taking the exam according to the new general education program issued in 2018.

As for the organization of the exam for candidates taking the exam with the exam questions of the 2006 General Education Program, based on the number of candidates registering for the exam, the Departments of Education and Training will arrange a number of exam locations specifically for candidates. Also according to the instructions of the Ministry of Education and Training, candidates will start registering for the 2025 high school graduation exam from April 21 to 5:00 p.m. on April 28. Registration for the exam will be online.

When registering for the exam, the Ministry of Education and Training notes that the candidate's photo on the system must have a minimum resolution of 400x600 pixels, be taken in ID format and no more than 6 months before the application submission date. During the process of registering for the exam, registering for preliminary selection, registering for university and college admission, candidates must use a unified type of identification document: ID card/citizen identification card/personal identification/passport number.

During the registration period, candidates wishing to apply for university or college admission must declare on the software complete and correct information with evidence to enjoy priority in admission according to regulations.
