Volleyball players in sight

At the 2025 National Volleyball Championship, the women's events received the most attention. Dong Anh Stadium (Hanoi) also welcomed a special guest. That was coach Lee Young-taik - who is leading the GS Caltex club in the Korean Volleyball Championship. This is also the team that middle blocker Bich Thuy (Duc Giang Chemicals) just played for.

Among the players competing in this tournament, Thanh Thuy received special attention. The player currently playing for VTV Binh Dien Long An is the one who has played abroad the most times. She has played for Bangkok Glass VC (Thailand), Attack Line (Taiwan - China), Denso Airybees and PFU BlueCats (Japan), Kuzeyboru (Turkey) and Gresik Petrokimia Pupuk (Indonesia).

Returning to play for VTV Binh Dien Long An in the 2025 national championship, Thanh Thuy quickly asserted her class. As coach Lee Young-taik commented: “I heard that Thanh Thuy is a very good player, so during my time in Vietnam, I wanted to come and watch her play. In the last match, I watched Thuy play directly. After the match ended, I went down to the field to congratulate and compliment Thanh Thuy, she has worked hard.”

However, the Korean coach expressed regret when Thanh Thuy withdrew from the try-out list for the Korean National Volleyball Championship next season. Currently, Bich Tuyen is the only Vietnamese athlete on trial for the Korean National Championship (next May).

Evaluating Bich Tuyen, coach Lee Young-taik said: “I heard that Bich Thuy returned to Vietnam and competed immediately. I wanted to see my student compete, and also wanted to see the Vietnamese player who registered for the try-out, Bich Tuyen, so I went directly to Vietnam to observe.

I have watched some videos with Bich Tuyen. I know she is a good player. Although this year there is only one Vietnamese player on try-out, I believe that in the next seasons there will be more Vietnamese players coming to the Korean national championship.

In fact, Bich Tuyen is a player who has left a strong impression in the colors of LPBank Ninh Binh and the national team in the past year. At the 2025 national championship, she continued to be a bright spot for the ancient capital team. Opportunities to go abroad are always open to Bich Tuyen, the question is how she will choose for the upcoming journey.

Most recently, Bich Thuy played impressively at the Korean tournament. That is the basis for experts to believe that this is the right environment for Tuyen to shine. In an interview with the press at the end of 2024, Bich Tuyen said: “Regarding going abroad, I have also received advice from everyone a few times. I am in the process of choosing which country is suitable for my ability. Because I think I should climb step by step, so as not to be overwhelmed. My level is only average, so I have to consider carefully.

I received a few invitations last year, but they came from volleyball countries that were too developed compared to Vietnam. Not to mention, regarding the language issue, I have not improved myself enough. I am still learning English for convenience in living and practicing in the future. When I feel that I have accumulated enough technique, physical strength, and language, I will be ready to move to a truly developed volleyball country.

I have been studying English for almost a year now. I still arrange my competitions, training and studying to improve myself. Whether I go abroad or not, foreign languages are still a means to help me in many aspects of my daily life.

I am a culture lover, I want to learn a foreign language to communicate with foreign teams when I compete. Going abroad is partly about economics, but what is important is what I learn there, and what I bring back to the national team, that is something worth thinking about." Now, when she has caught the attention of the scout, this is an opportunity for Bich Tuyen to make a choice.

Nam Dinh Club terminates contract with midfielder Hendrio
On March 31, Nam Dinh Steel Club announced the termination of the contract with midfielder Hendrio. The Brazilian midfielder also came to the training ground to say goodbye to his teammates that same afternoon.
During his time with the team from Thanh Nam, Hendrio played 56 matches, scored 16 goals and contributed 21 assists. Hendrio helped Nam Dinh win the 2023-2024 V.League championship and the 2023-2024 National Super Cup. He and his close friend Nguyen Xuan Son created the leading attacking duo of V.League.
Recently, the Brazilian midfielder also expressed his desire to become a Vietnamese citizen in 2026 when he has lived in the S-shaped strip of land for enough time. He even diligently learned to sing the Vietnamese National Anthem and speak Vietnamese 2 years ago and can now communicate in Vietnamese.
