This year's National Wushu Championship took place with the participation of nearly 400 athletes from 32 units across the country, competing in two categories: Sanda - direct competition and Taolu - performance.

This is an important annual event, not only affirming the position of Wushu in the Vietnamese sports community, but also an opportunity for young talents to shine on the national stage. The national Wushu competition system has attracted a large number of coaches and athletes from many localities across the country over the years.
Wushu is an ancient martial art, combining graceful beauty, unyielding strength and profound cultural values. Through the competitions and sparring, athletes not only demonstrate their bravery and indomitable will, but also contribute to preserving and promoting the precious martial arts traditions of East Asia.


The competition contents include Taolu (boxing competition), optional card competition contents for men and women: Long boxing; Knife techniques; Sword techniques; Stick techniques; Spear techniques; Southern boxing; Southern knife; Southern stick; Tai Chi; Tai Chi sword; Tai Chi fan; Yang family Tai Chi; Yang family Tai Chi sword; Chen family Tai Chi; Chen family Tai Chi; Duel. Sanda (knockout competition), weight categories for men from 40-100kg, women from 45-75kg.
The CAND Wushu Delegation participated in the Tournament with 14 members including: 1 Head of Delegation, 1 Coach and 12 athletes.
According to Major Vuong Dinh Khanh, Head of the Wushu Delegation of the People's Public Security Forces, this is the most important tournament of the year as it gathers the leading faces of Vietnamese Wushu to compete, creating exciting and attractive matches with high professional quality. Through the tournament, the athletes of the Wushu Delegation of the People's Public Security Forces will be able to compete, accumulate experience and professional skills, aiming for better achievements in the future.

At the end of the tournament, the athletes of the CAND Wushu Team won 7 medals of all kinds, including 2 Gold medals in the performance category by athlete Lam Nhat Quynh, female Nam Dao category and athlete Nguyen Thu Thao, direct combat competition category, women's 75 kg weight class; 2 Silver medals in the performance category by athlete Lam Nhat Quynh, female Nam Con category and athlete Tran Nguyen Viet Duy, direct combat competition category, 75 kg weight class. 3 Bronze medals in the direct combat competition category belonged to athlete Bui Khanh Linh, female 60 kg category; athlete Pham The Anh, male 80 kg category and Tran Dinh Minh Duc, male 90 kg category.
