Along with candidates across the country, on the afternoon of June 26, more than 90,000 candidates in Ho Chi Minh City went to examination sites to complete procedures for the 2024 high school graduation exam. Candidates are all ready for the "passing the gate" in the coming days.
In 2024, Ho Chi Minh City will have more than 90,000 candidates taking the exam at 162 exam sites, with 3,805 exam rooms. Of these, 87 exam sites have independent candidates (ensuring that at least 60% of the total number of candidates at the exam site are grade 12 high school students according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training), 75 exam sites do not have independent candidates.

Phan Xuan Y, a candidate at the exam site of Le Quy Don High School (District 3, Ho Chi Minh City) shared: "Today, when I arrived at the exam site, I checked all the information. I am ready for this important exam. I have reviewed quite thoroughly and am confident for the next 2 exam days. I hope I will do well on the exam to fulfill my dream in the future. Tonight, I will not stay up late anymore, I will listen to my mother and get enough sleep, prepare a good spirit and state to complete the first exam."

Notably, among the more than 90,000 in Ho Chi Minh City, there were 24 candidates who crossed the sea to take the high school graduation exam. They were students of Thanh An Secondary and High School in Thanh An island commune, Can Gio. On the morning of June 26, they were allowed to go to the mainland to take the high school graduation exam. They were arranged to stay near the exam site, convenient for travel as well as ensuring their health during the exam.
