At the same time, kindergartens and primary schools will notify the login account of the Ho Chi Minh City's primary school admissions page to parents whose children are preparing to enter grades 1 and 6.

For 6-year-old children who have not yet attended preschool, the People's Committee of the commune, ward or town shall coordinate with the police of the commune, ward or town to collect and review information of 6-year-old children who are actually living in the area, especially information about "current residence" in the parent's VNeID.

Then update the list of children to the primary school admission database system, notify parents to check and confirm the information on the city's primary school admission website at https://tuyensinhdaucap.hcm.edu.vn.

After the above period, Department of Education and Training staff instruct parents to note the following timelines:

  • From April 4 to 13 , parents of 5-year-old kindergarten and 5th grade students in primary schools use accounts provided by kindergartens, primary schools, and ward and commune People's Committees to log in to the Ho Chi Minh City enrollment website at https://tuyensinhdaucap.hcm.edu.vn to check information. Preschool and primary education institutions review, update and adjust information of final year students on the enrollment database (if any).
  • In particular, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training noted that in case parents do not review data or do not confirm information within the prescribed time, the primary school admission system will automatically consider that parents have approved all the information available on the city's primary school admission page and use it as an official basis in the admission process.
  • Any requests for changes made after the prescribed review period will not be resolved, except in special cases with legitimate reasons, which are reviewed, approved and reported to the Department of Education and Training by the district, county, and Thu Duc City Admissions Steering Committee.
  • From April 14 to 16 , based on information data on the primary enrollment system, the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City synthesized and sent it to the Department of Education and Training of Thu Duc City and districts to finalize data on children preparing to enter grade 1 and primary school students preparing to enter grade 6 in the 2025-2026 school year.
  • From April 17 to 19 , the People's Committee of Thu Duc City and districts reported the number of children preparing to enter grade 1 and primary school students preparing to enter grade 6 in the area to the Ho Chi Minh City Primary School Admissions Steering Committee.

Advice for parents of students

Mr. Nguyen Bao Quoc, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training, said that to ensure that the enrollment work at the beginning of the school year is implemented seriously, smoothly, with correct, sufficient and clean data, the Department of Education and Training requires kindergartens and primary schools to ensure that all final year students have identification codes and verify identification data with the national population database (except for cases where students do not have identification codes for special reasons).

Fully notify and support parents in checking student information. Clearly assign responsibilities to data entry staff and homeroom teachers throughout the process of reviewing data and updating student data, especially the "current residence" information in the parent's VNeID.

Provide timely advice and support when parents need to adjust information. During the data review process, if current residence information is fully available on VNeID, the unit is not allowed to ask parents to submit additional documents or commitments to confirm current location.

For parents, the Department of Education and Training also requested that they be responsible for checking information on VNeID and reporting to local police to accurately update current residence information on VNeID.

Check and confirm information on the primary school admissions page on time. Actively coordinate with the school or the Department of Education and Training to adjust information within the prescribed time.
