From 2025, candidates will not be allowed to bring Atlases into the high school graduation exam room.

From the 2025 High School Graduation Exam, candidates will not be allowed to bring Geography Atlases into the exam room like previous years.

According to Circular No. 24/2024/TT-BGDDT issued by the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) on regulations for high school graduation exams, geography atlases are no longer on the list of items allowed to be brought into the exam room as in previous years' high school graduation exams.

Regarding this new regulation, the representative of the Ministry of Education and Training said that 2025 is the first year that candidates studying the 2018 GeneralEducation Program will take the high school graduation exam. The 2018 General Education Program has many sets of books, so there will also be many different types of Geography Atlases.

Although candidates are instructed on how to use the Geography Atlas during their studies, the 2025 high school graduation exam will not have questions about using the Geography Atlas, so candidates are not allowed to bring the Geography Atlas into the exam room.

However, candidates studying the 2006 General Education Program (who have not graduated from high school since 2024 or earlier) taking the 2025 high school graduation exam are still allowed to bring the Geography Atlas into the exam room during the Geography exam. The exam for students studying the 2006 General Education Program is developed separately and has questions using the Geography Atlas.

In addition, regulations prohibit bringing into the examination room/waiting room the following items: Carbon paper, erasers, alcoholic beverages; weapons and explosives, flammable substances; documents, communication equipment (receiving, broadcasting information, recording audio, video) or containing information to cheat during the examination.

Article 21 of the high school graduation exam regulations clearly states the list of items allowed to be brought into the exam room. To serve the exam process, candidates are allowed to bring into the exam room the following: Pens; rulers; pencils; erasers; set squares; graphing rulers; drawing tools; handheld calculators without text editing functions and without memory cards.

This year's high school graduation exam is expected to take place at the end of June.
