According to the Ministry of Education and Training, a combined exam consists of three subjects. The Natural Science exam includes Physics, Chemistry, and Biology; the Social Science exam includes History, Geography, and Civic Education. The combined exam has a total score for high school graduation recognition and component subject scores for university and college admissions.
In this morning's exam, 2,340 candidates registered for the Natural Science exam; 5,735 candidates registered for the Social Science exam. The average percentage of candidates taking the exam was 99.58%.

After 150 minutes of taking the combined test, the candidates left in an excited mood. Most of them commented that the Natural Science Combined Test had a classification of students, and the Social Science Combined Test was a bit difficult. The invigilation was serious, and the transition between subjects was very quick and smooth. Although they were a bit tired, the students were not too pressured to take the test consecutively.
In the Natural Science Group, candidate Ho Thi Ly Na, a student at the provincial Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities, assessed that the exam was “easier” than the previous Math test, but there were also some high-level application questions. “Of the three subjects Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, I think Physics was the most difficult. From question 33 onwards, the test was quite long. With my answer, I calculated that I would get about 7 points for each subject,” Ly Na said. According to this candidate, many candidates taking the Natural Science Group did very well.

Candidate Le Thi Yen Nhi, a student at Quang Tri College of Education, said: “I took the Social Science exam. In my opinion, the History exam this morning was quite difficult. I did well on the Geography and Civic Education exams, the questions were exactly the knowledge I had carefully reviewed.”
As for candidate Ngo Thi Thu Trang, a student of class 12B4 at Cua Tung High School, this year's Social Science exam is quite suitable, candidates with average academic ability can also get about 6 - 7 points, but to get a higher score, they must have extensive knowledge and review carefully. In particular, she assessed that the History exam is the most difficult of the 3 combined subjects. If candidates do not have a solid grasp of the knowledge, they can only do about 1/2 of the exam. As for the Geography exam, thanks to many questions on the exam allowing candidates to use the Atlas, it is easier to get points. Similarly, the Civic Education exam does not have many difficult situations like previous years, so she predicts that she will get the highest score in this subject.
This afternoon, candidates will take the final exam, English, with a 60-minute test time in multiple-choice format.
