Ninh Binh City Party Committee deploys key tasks in 2024

On the morning of January 9, Ninh Binh City Party Committee held a conference to review the work in 2023 and deploy key tasks in 2024.

Attending the conference were comrade Le Huu Quy, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee; leaders of a number of Party building committees of the province; and city leaders.

In 2023, the City Party Committee and the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee closely followed the direction of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, Provincial People's Committee, the Action Program, and 5 work programs to implement the Resolution of the City Party Congress, focusing on leading and directing the effective implementation of tasks, completing and exceeding 12/13 main plan targets for 2023.

Notably, the Party building work was implemented synchronously, comprehensively and effectively, the leadership role was affirmed in all areas of work; the political system was increasingly consolidated. During the year, the City Party Committee admitted 268 new Party members, reaching 103.1% of the assigned target, bringing the total number of Party members in the entire Party Committee to 11,214. The economy remained stable and developed; urban infrastructure received investment attention, urban order, traffic safety and environmental sanitation were focused on and had many changes; socio-culture made much progress, social security continued to receive attention and was effectively implemented; the quality of education and training was maintained and improved; digital transformation was effectively implemented, the city ranked first in terms of digital transformation level. Political security was maintained, social order and safety were ensured; local defense was strengthened.

Speaking at the conference, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Commission Le Huu Quy acknowledged and highly appreciated the results achieved by the Party Committee, government and people of the city in 2023; affirming the position of the province's political, economic and social center, making important contributions to the province's development.

Noting the key tasks in 2024 and the province's major goals, he suggested that the Ninh Binh City Party Committee closely follow the province's political tasks to concretize them into the city's work plans and programs. In particular, focus on leading and directing the arrangement of administrative units, promoting the role and responsibility of taking the lead in advising on the merger of Ninh Binh City and Hoa Lu District. Continue to preserve and promote the tradition of solidarity, strengthen democracy, for the happy life of the people. Strengthen the building of a clean and strong Party and political system.

Review and inspect the implementation of resolutions of party congresses at all levels and the entire term's work programs, on that basis, direct all levels and sectors to focus on implementation, especially low-achievement targets that need timely solutions, striving to complete the set targets. Mobilize resources, be determined in economic development, urban management, and build a cultural identity imbued with the cultural identity of the millennium heritage city.

Continue to effectively implement administrative reform and digital transformation, maintain the top position in digital transformation and the provincial competitiveness index (DCCI). Innovate working methods, avoid evasion, shirking, "easy to do, hard to give up". Focus on receiving people, promptly resolving complaints and denunciations arising right at the grassroots level; at the same time, resolutely handle cases of taking advantage of complaints and denunciations to violate the law, not allowing hot spots to form.

Carefully prepare conditions for welcoming the Lunar New Year, pay attention to the material and spiritual life of policy families, people with meritorious services, poor households, and people in difficult circumstances. Organize activities for people to enjoy Tet safely and economically. Strengthen inspection of production and business establishments, control price stabilization. Deploy measures to prevent and combat crimes, prevent fires and explosions, and ensure traffic safety during Tet. Carry out well the work of selecting and calling citizens to join the army. Strengthen the assurance of political security, social order and safety...

At the conference, 13 grassroots party organizations that met the criteria for excellently completing typical tasks in 2023; party organizations and party members that met the criteria for excellently completing typical tasks for 5 consecutive years were commended and rewarded by the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee; 7 collectives and 15 individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing Conclusion 01 of the Politburo on continuing to implement Directive No. 05-CT/TW dated May 15, 2016 of the 12th Politburo "On promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle" were commended and rewarded by the City People's Committee.
