Ha Tinh City has made an impressive transition to the new year 2024 with the completion of a series of renovations on main roads such as Phan Dinh Phung, Le Duan, Nguyen Thi Minh Khai, Nguyen Hoanh Tu... This breakthrough has created a new space and architecture for the central city with a modern appearance, synchronous in infrastructure and urban management.

According to the latest assessment of the City People's Committee, as of mid-February 2024, the city's total budget revenue reached 124.4 billion VND, equal to 15% of the plan assigned by the province and equal to 95% compared to the first quarter of 2023. The production and business situation has been on track since the beginning of the year, in particular, the city has supported 2 high-quality agricultural projects, including: a high-quality rice production linkage project in Dong Mon, Thach Binh, Thach Ha communes, Dai Nai ward; a deer farming linkage project in Thach Binh commune, Thach Linh ward.

Key strategic infrastructure projects such as: Xuan Dieu extended road, Eastern road, Sub-project of the road connecting DT.550 intersection - Ngo Quyen road, Thach Trung commune; urban infrastructure improvement projects, schools continue to closely follow the progress, promptly handle problems related to site clearance...

City Youth Union members participate in planting coconut trees in the Dong Ghe riverside ecological tourism service planning area (Thach Ha commune).

In the days after the Giap Thin New Year, units, localities and people enthusiastically participated in planting trees at the beginning of the year. Secretary of the City Youth Union Nguyen Phi Khanh said: “Since the beginning of the year, we have mobilized hundreds of young union members to participate in planting trees in the central park, the planned ecological tourism service area along the Dong Ghe river (Thach Ha commune); at the same time, we have directed the grassroots union level to proactively organize the union work program and plant trees in localities. The movement has created a widespread influence among the entire population about the program of 100,000 trees to make the city greener - cleaner - more beautiful”.

In total, the city has over 96,000 newly planted trees, of which 1,689 were planted on the launching day (mainly Lagerstroemia, Ban, Mango, Orchid, Sau, etc.). Currently, localities and units are continuing to plant in ecological planning areas, planting fruit trees in household gardens to both improve the landscape and environment, and develop the agricultural economy, services, and tourism for the people.

The project of linking high-quality rice production in Dong Mon, Thach Binh, Thach Ha communes and Dai Nai ward received capital investment from the city to build value chain linkages and improve rice quality in Ha Tinh city.

The movement to build model urban civilized wards, model residential groups, model residential areas, and build new rural communes in wards and communes has also been vigorously implemented. Outstanding activities include: launching campaigns to restore urban order and traffic safety after Tet; urban beautification, creating open spaces; cleaning the environment in public areas, cemeteries, and self-managed roads...

The city strives to have 5 more model residential groups, 1 model residential area, 2 wards meeting model urban civilization standards and 5 civilized urban streets by the end of 2024.

Since the beginning of the year, Bac Ha ward has focused on handling and dismantling A-shaped electric poles that cause loss of urban beauty and traffic safety in the area.

Mr. Nguyen Trong Hieu - Chairman of the City People's Committee affirmed that 2024 is a breakthrough year to complete the 5-year plan 2021-2025, requiring the determination and cooperation of the entire political system, the participation and support of the people to achieve the highest results of the Resolution of the 21st City Party Congress. Accordingly, the city continues to direct the acceleration of the progress of strategic and key infrastructure projects; projects to upgrade and renovate key traffic routes, drainage projects, projects to bury electricity systems and telecommunication cables.

Focus on implementing the pilot project to build a smart city in Ha Tinh city until 2025, with a vision to 2030; adjusting the general planning of the city and surrounding areas until 2045, with a vision to 2060; implementing steps according to the authority to expand administrative boundaries; developing a project to rearrange administrative units... In terms of economy, effectively exploit potential advantages, maintain economic growth momentum, shift the structure towards increasing the proportion of trade - services and industry - construction; strengthen budget collection.
