As planned, the 2024 military enlistment ceremony in localities will take place over three days from February 25 to February 27.
On the first day (February 25), 30 provinces and cities will hold military handover ceremonies, including: Cao Bang, Bac Kan, Lang Son, Bac Giang, Bac Ninh, Thai Nguyen (belonging to Military Region 1), Quang Ninh, Hai Phong, Thai Binh, Nam Dinh, Ha Nam, Ninh Binh, Hai Duong, Hung Yen, Hoa Binh (belonging to Military Region 3), Da Nang, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Binh Dinh, Phu Yen, Khanh Hoa, Ninh Thuan, Kon Tum, Gia Lai, Dak Lak, Dak Nong (belonging to Military Region 5) and the provinces of Tuyen Quang, Yen Bai, Phu Tho, Vinh Phuc (belonging to Military Region 2).
There are 7 provinces and cities holding military handover ceremonies on the second day (February 26), including: Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Tri, Quang Binh, Thua Thien Hue (under Military Region 4) and districts of Hanoi city (under Hanoi Capital Command).
Ho Chi Minh City will organize the military handover on Tuesday (February 27). Also handing over troops on this day are the provinces: Dong Nai, Binh Duong, Binh Phuoc, Tay Ninh, Long An, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Binh Thuan, Lam Dong (belonging to Military Region 7); Tien Giang, Ben Tre, Dong Thap, Vinh Long, Tra Vinh, Can Tho, Hau Giang, Soc Trang, An Giang, Kien Giang, Bac Lieu, Ca Mau (belonging to Military Region 9) and 5 provinces: Ha Giang, Lao Cai, Lai Chau, Dien Bien, Son La (belonging to Military Region 2).
To prepare well for military recruitment, up to this point, the localities sending troops and the units receiving troops have regularly exchanged, coordinated, cooperated and closely organized the implementation of stages and steps in the military recruitment process to ensure targets, quality and absolute safety.
The units receiving the soldiers have developed plans and methods to receive and transport new soldiers to their units and carefully prepared accommodation and living conditions for the soldiers from the first day they arrive at their units.
At the same time, local Party committees, authorities, military agencies and units have paid attention to leading, directing and implementing well the stages and steps in the military recruitment process.
The activities of selecting and calling citizens to join the army are carried out in accordance with the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws, and the procedures and regulations in military recruitment.
Local military agencies, especially at the district level, should promote their roles and responsibilities well. The presiding agency should closely coordinate and cooperate with departments, branches, and organizations to advise local Party committees and authorities, and do a good job of propaganda and education to raise citizens' awareness and responsibility in performing military service.
At the same time, strengthen measures and strictly manage the quantity and quality of citizens ready to join the army in 2024.
