Thanh Hoa: Number of tourists increased by 4.8% in the first quarter of 2025

Also in the first quarter of 2025, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Thanh Hoa has developed plans to promote and advertise Thanh Hoa tourism on the mass media of the Central and localities, on digital platforms, and at major domestic airports. Advise and complete the Resolution on a number of policies to support tourism development in Thanh Hoa province in the period of 2025 - 2030; advise and submit to the Provincial People's Committee a document directing the implementation of the Plan to implement the Tourism System Planning for the period of 2025 - 2030, with a vision to 2045. Regarding digital transformation activities, Thanh Hoa continues to implement the project to maintain the operation of the information system and database to manage tourism activities in Thanh Hoa province in 2025.

In the state management work, in the first quarter of 2025, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Thanh Hoa province has newly issued and renewed 15 tour guide cards (TGT), including 05 international TGT cards and 10 domestic TGT cards; issued 02 domestic travel service business licenses. The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Thanh Hoa province has also assessed 03 accommodation establishments, including Phuong Hoang 2 Hotel - Sam Son City, meeting 3-star standards.

According to the plan, in the second quarter of 2025, closely following the direction of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Thanh Hoa province, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Thanh Hoa will direct the effective dissemination of the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws and policies, anniversaries, major holidays, and political tasks of the country and locality. Seriously and effectively implement the Directive of the Prime Minister and the Chairman of the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa province on the tasks in the Work Program of the Provincial People's Committee and the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism in 2025; proactively advise on the development plan of each field, especially in the field of tourism; review the tasks of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism related to coordination with localities to focus on accelerating the implementation progress, completing in the second quarter of 2025.

The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Thanh Hoa will issue plans to organize the Thanh Cuisine Culture Festival 2025 in Thanh Hoa City; organize the Competition for Tour Guide Skills of the expanded North Central provinces; continue to research and advise on policies to support Thanh Hoa tourism development in the period 2025 - 2030. Continue to grasp the situation, advise on state management work and prepare conditions for special festival activities and events to continue to promote and develop the unique strengths, attracting tourists to Thanh Hoa in the coming time.

Create conditions and orient travel businesses to participate in building tours and tourist routes associated with cultural, sports and tourism activities and events to bring tourists new experiences, spreading the message "Thanh Hoa Tourism - Four Seasons of Fragrance". Orient the Thanh Hoa Tourism Association and local tourism businesses to focus on improving product quality, diversifying tourism services; linking tourism stimulus programs and developing new products with announced cultural, sports and tourism events. Strengthen links with Tourism Associations and tourism businesses of provinces and cities across the country to promote Thanh Hoa tourism, build tours and tourist routes, and attract tourists to participate in events in the coming time.
