Exciting sports tournament to celebrate 79 years of traditional day of the Sports industry

This year’s tournament had the participation of 280 athletes representing 15 Trade Union organizations under the Vietnam Sports and Physical Training Department; Trade Union of the State Management Advisory Block and supporters who are officials, civil servants, public employees and workers in the whole Department. The athletes competed in 3 sports: Tug of War, Table Tennis and Pickleball.

Deputy Director of the Vietnam Sports Administration Le Thi Hoang Yen delivered the opening speech of the tournament.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Deputy Director of the Vietnam Sports Department - Ms. Le Thi Hoang Yen emphasized: The sports tournament is a practical activity to review the glorious tradition, the 79-year journey of formation and development of the sports industry; At the same time, it actively contributes to the Campaign "All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho". This is also an opportunity for cadres, civil servants and public employees of the sports industry to exchange, learn, enhance solidarity, and together successfully carry out the task of developing the sports movement in 2025.

At this year’s tournament, the Vietnam Sports and Physical Training Union has added a new sport to the competition, Pickleball. Although this is a very new sport, it has quickly spread among the masses, in offices, units, businesses, etc.

Immediately after the opening ceremony, the athletes entered the tournament with the spirit of giving their all, determined to achieve high results in the tournament. The efforts of the athletes in the competition and the enthusiastic cheers of the audience created a lively and attractive atmosphere.
