(HNMO) - On the evening of April 13, Hanoi Club (CL) had a 3-0 victory over Hai Phong Club (Hai Phong FC) in the 6th round of the Night Wolf V.League 2023 National Championship, at Hang Day Stadium.
The heat of the match was immediately raised when the home team scored in the first minute.
Kien Quyet of Hai Phong Club, in a defensive situation, accidentally committed a foul and pulled down Xuan Tu in the penalty area. The referee immediately blew a penalty for the home team. From a distance of 11m, captain Van Quyet easily defeated goalkeeper Dinh Trieu to open the score for the capital team.
After conceding the goal, Hai Phong FC proactively raised their squad to look for an equalizer. However, Hanoi FC was the team that dominated the game. The home team continued to maintain an attacking style, creating pressure forcing the opponent to follow their style of play.
In the 38th minute, from the attack initiated by goalkeeper Tan Truong, Lucao headed the ball, creating conditions for Van Quyet to take advantage of the opponent's defense, finishing with a tricky shot to raise the score to 2-0 for Hanoi FC. This was also Van Quyet's 100th goal in the V.League.
In the second half, the home team took the initiative to play slowly, giving the game to the opponent. This helped the away team have more dangerous attacks towards goalkeeper Tan Truong's goal. However, Hai Phong FC's pressure was only maintained for half of the second half. Hanoi FC quickly regained control of the game and organized counterattacks.
In the 78th minute, from a pass from his teammate, striker Lucao fired a diagonal shot from outside the box, sending the ball very hard into the net, raising the score to 3-0, sealing the match.
Hanoi FC regained the top spot with 14 points, the same number of points as Thanh Hoa but with a better goal difference.
In the same match, Ho Chi Minh City Club shared points with Topenland Binh Dinh in a 1-1 draw.
