Thai Binh: Support for the establishment of 15 cooperatives and 80 cooperative groups

Project 939 has now become a driving force for women's associations at all levels and members to participate in economic development. The associations at all levels have trained the contents of the project as well as knowledge about economic development, entrepreneurship, financial management, business skills, science and technology in production; technology application, participation in e-commerce platforms... for 100% of association officials from the province to the grassroots level and hundreds of thousands of members and women.

The Provincial and District Women's Unions build a section on women entrepreneurs on the website, Fanpage, and Zalo OA of the Thai Binh Provincial Women's Union.

Along with that, the association at all levels has supported the establishment of 15 cooperatives and 80 cooperative groups. Many cooperatives and cooperative groups operate effectively, creating many jobs for female workers, helping women increase their income and build happy families. Typical examples: The Ken Dong Huong Lua Cooperative, Thuy Lien Commune, Thai Thuy District; The Dong Kinh Environmental Sanitation Service Cooperative, Dong Hung District; The Hoa Sen Van Dai Cooperative, Chi Hoa Commune, Hung Ha District; The Thanh Tan Bamboo and Rattan Cooperative, Kien Xuong District; The Trong Hoi Cooperative, Hong Bach Commune, Dong Hung District...

During the implementation phase of the Project, 51 ideas/projects were mobilized and selected to participate in the Women's Creative Startup Contest organized by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union. There were 02 ideas/projects that won the consolation prize and 01 project that won the second prize at the Northern region level and 01 project that won the consolation prize at the national level.

The Provincial Women's Union also successfully organized "Women's Creative Startup Day" at the provincial level five times, contributing to arousing the spirit, inner strength and creativity of women who boldly have ideas and business plans to start a business.

After 5 years of implementing the Joint Program No. 01 of the Government, Vietnam Farmers' Union and Vietnam Women's Union (2021) on propaganda and mobilization of production and business of quality and safe agricultural products for community health and sustainable development, period 2021-2025", all levels of the association in Thai Binh province have organized training courses to improve knowledge of production and business of quality and safe agricultural products for community health and sustainable development for 2,320 chairmen, vice chairmen and branch heads; 495 training and communication courses for 44,324 female officials and members on organic agricultural production, production and business of quality and safe agricultural products for community health and sustainable development, and propaganda on land accumulation for agricultural production associated with tourism development.

At the same time, establish and maintain the operation of 47 models with 1,900 members on clean vegetable growing, rice model, winter crop growing model, rural clean market model, female traders selling safe food at markets model, rice planting model using organic fertilizer products...

Chairwoman of the Provincial Women's Union Nguyen Thi Phuong praised the efforts of the Union at all levels, proactively coordinating with departments, branches, authorities at all levels and relevant agencies and units to make many contributions in the process of implementing the Project and Coordination Program.

To continue effectively implementing the project and the Coordination Program, Ms. Phuong suggested that all levels of the association focus on promoting and improving the quality of communication, education, advocacy, and support for women, arousing the entrepreneurial spirit, potential, and creativity of women. Mobilizing resources and mobilizing people's participation to replicate effective business development and startup models.

The conference commended 20 collectives and individuals with many achievements in implementing the Project and Joint Program No. 01. At the same time, at the conference, there was an exchange program of economic development models, through which diverse and attractive propaganda was promoted, mobilizing members and women to actively develop the economy. Delegates also visited and experienced shopping for products such as small-scale handicrafts, handicrafts, OCOP products with strengths of cooperatives, cooperative groups, and models supported by the Women's Union at all levels.
