Thach Ha announces planning in the town area

The approval of general planning in Thach Ha town (Ha Tinh) contributes to improving urban infrastructure, implementing major projects and promoting socio-economic development of the town in particular and Thach Ha district in general.

On the morning of October 19, the People's Committee of Thach Ha district held a ceremony to announce the master plan for the construction of Thach Ha town until 2035, scale 1/5,000 and adjust the detailed plan for the construction of Ly Tu Trong cultural park, scale 1/500.

Delegates listened to a representative of the National Institute of Urban and Rural Planning introduce the main contents of the master plan for the construction of Thach Ha town, Thach Ha district, Ha Tinh province until 2035, scale 1/5,000.

The master plan for the construction of Thach Ha town until 2035 was approved by the Provincial People's Committee in Decision No. 1513/QD-UBND, dated June 28, 2023, with an area of 1,493.37 hectares and an estimated population of about 22,000 people by 2035.

Thach Ha town is the district capital, the administrative, socio-economic, cultural, service and commercial center of Thach Ha district and the northwestern gateway of Ha Tinh city. In order to promptly meet the needs of urban development and land management in Thach Ha town, it is necessary to establish a general planning for the town to manage construction and development.

According to the plan, the existing urban area will be the core of the town development in all directions. The northern area will develop towards the Vach Nam River; forming a new urban area and riverside ecological service function. The southern area will develop in association with the extended Ngo Quyen road and the 70m road connecting to Ha Tinh City; developing a new urban area and ecological services along the Cay River. The western area will strongly develop to the west, crossing the National Highway 1 bypass, connecting with the old Thach Thanh commune center; developing a new urban area, new centers for services, trade, production and business, and a new cultural center of the district. The eastern area will develop in association with the Cay River and the connecting road to Thach Trung commune (Ha Tinh City).

The general planning of Thach Ha town with synchronous infrastructure, beautiful architectural landscape, modern urban style will be a new step in the urbanization process of the town; an important step to bring the urban development strategy of the district into life.

The project to adjust the detailed planning for the construction of Ly Tu Trong cultural park (Thach Ha town) was approved by the Provincial People's Committee in Decision No. 1539/QD-UBND, dated June 30, 2023; with a scale of 5.76 hectares with the goal of effectively exploiting and using Ly Tu Trong cultural park.

Based on the planning space, the key areas are determined to include three main areas: Ly Tu Trong Monument is located in the Southeast; the sports area is located in the Southwest; the entertainment service area is located in the Northeast; the gymnasium is located in the North and the traditional house is located in the East.

The approval of the general planning for the construction of Thach Ha town and the adjustment of the detailed planning for the construction of Ly Tu Trong cultural park are of great significance, creating a premise for the construction of resettlement areas; improving the urban infrastructure of Thach Ha; implementing major projects in the area; contributing to promoting the socio-economic development of the town in particular and Thach Ha district in general.
