Determined to build a regional ecological center of Binh Dinh

Speaking at the conference, Mr. To Hieu Trung, Chairman of Vinh Thanh District People's Committee (Binh Dinh Province) introduced some potentials and advantages in the new development stage of Vinh Thanh District. Vinh Thanh District is a newly developed land in Binh Dinh, the growth rate of total product value in 2023 reached 5.27%, average income per capita reached nearly 40 million VND, local budget revenue reached 131.9% of the plan.

In 2023, Vinh Thanh's public investment disbursement rate reached a very high rate, over 99%. With many potential convergences such as land, climate, resources, as well as labor resources, Vinh Thanh has recently started to establish an industrial cluster, attracting 16 enterprises to invest in production and business.

In terms of culture, Vinh Thanh is mainly inhabited by two ethnic groups, Kinh and Ba Na, living together in solidarity. In particular, the Ba Na culture here is developing very well, many communities are continuing to preserve and promote their unique identities and are very interested in training and passing on to the next generation.

Identifying that the district is still facing difficulties, Mr. Trung emphasized that over the years, the local leadership has always set the goal of economic development to exploit available potentials and advantages. Many solutions have been proposed, in which the goal of completing the Vinh Thanh District Construction Planning Project 2035 has received special attention and expectations from the locality.

“We have identified that the planning of Vinh Thanh district’s development until 2035 is one of the very important tasks of this term. Through this planning, the district has orientation and rearranges the development space…”, Mr. Trung said, adding that the district’s regional planning product is the result of a process of effort, hard work, dedication and collective intelligence of the district.

On this occasion, the leaders of Vinh Thanh District People's Committee introduced and invited investors inside and outside the district to be interested in researching and implementing projects to help the district develop. Large-scale projects with high investment capital will contribute to promoting the development of Vinh Thanh District, effectively completing the planning and the goal of becoming the regional ecological center of Binh Dinh.

Mr. Trung also said that the industries that Vinh Thanh attracts investment include: focusing on developing infrastructure of Ta Suc industrial cluster to accelerate attracting projects in production, manufacturing, processing, fuel industry; attracting investment in the field of high-tech agricultural development; developing eco-tourism, resorts, service systems, trade combined with quality residential areas...

At the ceremony, Mr. Tran Viet Bao, Director of Binh Dinh Department of Construction, authorized by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, announced the Construction Planning project of Vinh Thanh district until 2035.

The project aims to specify the planning orientation of Binh Dinh province, with the urban development program of the whole province; policies and strategies on socio-economic development of the province and district on building new rural areas, advanced new rural areas and model new rural areas associated with the urbanization process.

By 2035, Vinh Thanh district will be a modern agricultural, forestry and fishery economic development area based on the formation of specialized agricultural production areas, linking production and consumption according to value chains; developing eco-tourism associated with historical culture; developing mining industry. In the future, Vinh Thanh will be an important area in the issue of special protection of landscape, environment, sustainable development of the whole Binh Dinh province...

Vinh Thanh district is famous for Ta Ma stream, which owns the most beautiful flower tree complex in the Central region.

Forecasting population growth targets, by 2035, Vinh Thanh's population is expected to be 39,250 people, the urbanization rate will reach 39%, the land fund for urban construction will be 550 hectares, the land fund for construction of rural residential areas will be 750 hectares...

In terms of regional spatial development orientation, Vinh Thanh town and Vinh Quang and Vinh Hoa communes will be sub-region I, playing the role of cultural, political and comprehensive economic center of the district.

Zone II, the agro-ecological zone includes Vinh Thuan and Vinh Hao communes, developing agriculture and forestry combined with developing cassava and wood raw material areas, high-tech livestock farming, freshwater aquaculture exploiting the potential of freshwater dams and lakes combined with eco-tourism, agricultural production; developing renewable energy (wind power, pumped storage hydropower).

Vinh Thanh district has many potentials for agriculture combined with eco-tourism.

Zone III, Vinh Thinh, Vinh Hiep, Vinh Kim, Vinh Son communes are ecological conservation areas of natural forests, special-use forests, stabilizing the upstream protection environment; developing forest economy combined with tourism...
