On the afternoon of December 18, Ky Anh City Party Committee held a conference to review the work of Party building and the political system; the work of building a comprehensive strong grassroots in 2023; and deploy tasks in 2024.

2023 is the mid-term year of implementing the Resolution of the 2nd Town Party Congress, which is of special importance in promoting implementation, striving to complete the goals of the 5-year plans 2021 - 2025 and building Ky Anh town into a city by 2025.

Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Phan Duy Vinh reported on the results of Party building and political system work in 2023.

In the context of many difficulties, with the attention and support of the Central Government, the flexible and proactive leadership, direction and management of the political system, the consensus of the People and the business community, the Executive Committee and the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee have united, unified, focused on leading and directing the implementation of political tasks, achieving quite comprehensive results in all fields.

Accordingly, the locality has 8/14 socio-economic targets that have met and exceeded the set plan. Total budget revenue in the area by November 30 reached 329 billion VND, reaching 126% of the plan assigned by the province, 93% of the plan assigned by the town. Disbursement of investment capital by November 30 reached 398 billion VND, reaching more than 72% of the plan, expected to reach 100% of the assigned capital plan by January 31, 2024 (end of budget adjustment period).

Industrial production regained growth momentum. Unit 1 of Vung Ang I Thermal Power Plant, after nearly 2 years of inactivity, resumed operation in August 2023; production of key products (steel, electricity) achieved a good growth rate; key projects showed many positive signals, Vung Ang II Thermal Power Project completed 70% of the plan, ensuring the set progress...

Building new rural areas and civilized urban areas continues to achieve many important results: Ky Ha commune meets advanced new rural standards; has 17 model gardens, 6 products meet 3-star OCOP standards; completed 3/9 groups of criteria, 12/20 sub-criteria in building civilized urban areas.

The town newly established 170 enterprises and branches with a total registered capital of 1,200 billion VND, reaching 108% of the plan; 4 projects were granted investment certificates with a total amount of 90 billion VND.

Trade and services have shown good growth trends; planning, planning management, construction, urban areas, natural resources and environment have been strengthened; administrative reform, judiciary, inspection, complaint and denunciation settlement, anti-corruption and backlog handling have been focused and resolutely directed; national defense and security have been maintained, social order and safety have been ensured...

Political and ideological education and awareness raising among cadres, party members and people have been promoted; Party development work has been enhanced.

Speaking at the conference, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Bao Ha acknowledged the achievements of Ky Anh town in 2023. In particular, Party building work continued to have many highlights; socio-economic development achieved positive results; site clearance and settlement of backlogs were directed resolutely; Security and order in the area were maintained. The stability and positive development of Ky Anh town contributed significantly to the overall development of the whole province.

Emphasizing the tasks in the coming time, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Bao Ha requested the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee to continue to innovate leadership methods; strengthen comprehensive leadership in the political system to build a locality with rapid and sustainable development; build a synchronous and modern urban appearance associated with improving people's lives and incomes.

Review and closely follow the province's specialized resolutions, especially resolutions on the development of Vung Ang Economic Zone, on import-export development associated with logistics services, on administrative reform and the Pilot Project on building smart cities in Ky Anh town... to proactively take full advantage of the province's support in performing tasks.

The locality needs to focus on the project to build the town into a city; manage planning; attract investment projects to the area; develop trade and services; clear land and accelerate key projects in the area; focus on digital transformation; develop enterprises and cooperatives; manage conditional business lines, strictly handle violations of food safety and hygiene...

On this occasion, the conference also presented the Ministry of Home Affairs' commemorative medal "For the cause of the State Organization sector" to Chairman of the Town People's Committee Nguyen Hoai Son and Vice Chairman of the Town People's Council Tran Xuan Phuong.
