Focus on high-quality vocational training for the Southern Key Economic Zone

NDO - On the morning of November 4, speaking at the opening ceremony of the new school year at Lilama 2 International Technology College, comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda Department, suggested that the school should focus on understanding the needs and training high-quality human resources for the Southern Key Economic Zone, aiming to build an international-level vocational training center.

Also attending the Opening Ceremony on behalf of Dong Nai province's leaders were comrades: Nguyen Hong Linh, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Vo Tan Duc, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

According to the Principal of Lilama 2 International Technology College, Nguyen Khanh Cuong, last school year, the school had more than 1,000 students graduating, of which the employment rate reached 96%.

Lilama 2 International College of Technology has proactively developed new training programs to prepare high-quality resources, researched and developed programs to participate in training semiconductor human resources for the assembly, testing and packaging segments.

The school's facilities and training equipment are invested in three levels according to German and French standards. In addition, in 2024, a multi-purpose building with a total area of ​​12,350m2 was invested and put into use, including: 30 functional rooms, 80 public rooms, 18 specialist rooms. The school invested in a workshop with 5 industrial robots to serve students' practice.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda Department, praised and highly appreciated the achievements that Lilama 2 International Technology College has achieved in the past nearly 40 years, especially in the last 10 years. This is a great effort, an honor and pride for generations of teachers, students, staff and students of the school.

Promoting the achievements, aiming to build Lilama 2 International College of Technology into a high-quality vocational training center of international standards, holding a top position in the Vietnamese vocational education system, comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia, Head of the Central Propaganda Department, suggested that in the 2024-2025 school year and the coming time, the school continues to deeply perceive, thoroughly grasp and well organize the implementation of the Party and State's guidelines, policies and guidelines on vocational education development in accordance with its strengths, especially new policies on developing high-tech human resources, adapting to the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

Pay attention to training and improving the quality and qualifications of the school's teaching staff, civil servants and managers. Have a mechanism to mobilize and attract domestic and foreign experts from businesses to participate in teaching and research activities at Lilama 2 International College of Technology.

Comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia suggested that the school focus on implementing educational goals in the spirit of innovation, which are: Developing learners' capacity and qualities; the school's educational and training results aim to create people with knowledge and skills, qualities and abilities, ambitions and ideals to serve the community and the Fatherland; the school's training work must be linked to the needs of socio-economic development, scientific and technological progress; promoting the positive aspects and limiting the negative aspects of the market economy.

Along with that, Lilama 2 International College of Technology needs to pay special attention to digital transformation, creating new values, new ways of doing things, and breakthroughs in efficiency and quality in training, scientific research, and school management activities. Thereby, striving to take the lead and become a model of digital transformation in the field of vocational education.

Lilama 2 International College of Technology needs to promote its role as a core educational institution, leading and spreading in the region and in the vocational education system.

In the immediate future, the school will focus on understanding the needs and training high-quality human resources for the Southern Key Economic Zone, especially serving the Long Thanh International Airport project which will come into operation in 2026.
