Strengthening educational connections between Thanh Hoa province and Niigata province, Japan

On the morning of August 7, the Department of Education and Training (DET) coordinated with the Department of Foreign Affairs, the International Cooperation Board of Niigata Province, Japan and functional units to organize an educational connection conference between Thanh Hoa Province and Niigata Province.

Attending the conference were representatives of the Departments of Education and Training, Foreign Affairs, Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs; representatives of universities, colleges and some Japanese language teaching centers in the province.

On the Niigata side, there was Ms. Kuri bayashi Shiori, policy specialist of the Niigata Governor's Office, along with representatives of the International General Academy and several universities of Niigata province.

Speaking at the conference, Director of the Department of Education and Training Tran Van Thuc expressed his joy at welcoming businesses, universities and colleges from Niigata province to attend the educational connection program between Thanh Hoa province and Niigata province for the first time. He also highlighted the comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and Japan and some achievements in socio-economic development cooperation between Thanh Hoa province and Japan in recent years.

Director of the Department of Education and Training Tran Van Thuc said: The conference on education connection between Thanh Hoa province and Niigata province is of great significance, helping businesses, universities and colleges of Niigata and Thanh Hoa provinces to learn, connect and implement cooperation in education and training, thereby contributing to strengthening the relationship between Thanh Hoa and Niigata provinces. Participating in this conference, Thanh Hoa province has 2 universities, 5 colleges and 4 Japanese language training centers. These are educational institutions with potential, advantages and good conditions for the goal of educational cooperation between Thanh Hoa and Niigata provinces.

With that meaning, at the conference, representatives of universities and colleges in Thanh Hoa province as well as universities, academies and enterprises of Niigata province introduced the potential, advantages and policies of each side and expressed their desire to connect to concretize cooperation programs suitable to the potential and advantages of each side.

Exchanging information at the conference, a representative of Niigata University of Medicine and Pharmacy said: Niigata University of Medicine and Pharmacy is the only university in Niigata with a Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy.
