Right from the beginning of the implementation of the second phase of the project (2021-2025), the Department of Education and Training issued a specific implementation plan, suitable to the actual conditions of the province. The Departments ofEducation and Training in 13 districts, towns and cities have developed plans and issued more than 158 guiding documents, ensuring that 100% of preschools in the area implement the project synchronously. Inspection and supervision work is carried out regularly with 250 inspections, including many thematic inspections. The evaluation results show clear progress of preschools in applying child-centered methods to the curriculum. In particular, a number of typical preschools have been selected as pilot models, contributing to the replication and effective dissemination of the project throughout the province.
Quang Ninh has organized nearly 3,000 specialized training sessions with the participation of 98% of preschool staff and teachers. In addition, the province has also promoted the application of information technology in educational management, creating conditions for teachers to access advanced teaching methods such as Montessori, STEM, Reggio Emilia. Regarding facilities, the province has mobilized many resources to invest in and upgrade schools. Up to now, most preschools in the area have a green, clean, beautiful environment and meet one-way kitchen standards. 100% of schools have medical rooms and ensure food hygiene and safety conditions. In particular, some schools have built play areas for children, combined with life skills education activities, helping children develop comprehensively physically and mentally.
The topic “Child-centered preschool education” focuses on 5 important criteria: Educational environment, child care plan, organization of teaching activities, assessment of child development and coordination between school, family and community. Thanks to that, 100% of children in preschools in the province enjoy a friendly, safe and creative learning environment.
Teachers have been more flexible in organizing educational activities towards experiences, promoting children's independence and creativity. The models of "Happy Kindergarten", "Green - Safe - Friendly School" have been widely deployed, creating the best conditions for children to develop comprehensively. In addition, modern educational methods such as applying digital technology in teaching, using electronic learning materials, implementing outdoor educational activities have also been promoted, bringing high efficiency in the teaching process.
One of the highlights of the topic is the close coordination between schools, parents and the community in caring for and educating children. Many educational institutions have organized seminars, talks and family days to enhance interaction between parents and schools. This helps parents better understand the child-centered educational method, thereby having better support in caring for and educating their children.
In addition, community participation also plays an important role. Organizations, businesses, and localities have provided financial support, facilities, and organized life skills education programs for children, creating opportunities for children to be exposed to reality and develop comprehensively.
After 5 years of implementation, the project "Building a child-centered preschool" (phase 2: 2021-2025) has brought positive changes to preschool education in Quang Ninh. Not only improving the quality of teaching, the project also helps children access an advanced and modern learning environment.
