On the afternoon of September 27, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee held a conference to review internal affairs, anti-corruption and negativity work in the third quarter, and deploy key tasks in the fourth quarter of 2023.

In the third quarter of 2023, the work of disseminating, thoroughly grasping and implementing central and provincial documents on internal affairs, corruption prevention and control was carried out regularly and promptly. Sectors in the internal affairs sector, agencies, units and localities have actively, proactively and effectively coordinated to implement the direction of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee on a number of complicated and prominent cases related to security and order; focused on verifying and resolving denunciations and reports of crimes, investigating, prosecuting and strictly trying corruption cases and serious and complicated cases of public concern. The work of receiving citizens and dialogue with people has been strengthened and maintained in a regular manner. The settlement of complaints and denunciations has been carried out seriously by all levels and sectors in accordance with the provisions of law. The work of preventing and combating corruption and negativity continues to receive active and effective leadership and direction. The inspection, supervision and monitoring work has been implemented synchronously according to the set program and plan. Thereby, it has contributed to maintaining political security, social order and safety, creating favorable conditions for the recovery and socio-economic development of the province.

Speaking at the conference, comrade Nguyen Tien Thanh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council acknowledged the achievements in internal affairs, anti-corruption and negativity of the province in recent times; at the same time, frankly pointed out a number of shortcomings and limitations that need to be focused on overcoming such as: the work of grasping the situation, resolving arising situations and incidents at times and in some places is not proactive, not timely, and not highly effective; the security and order situation in some areas and areas still has potential complications; the reception and settlement of petitions of some localities, agencies and units is not timely, especially at the grassroots level, leading to prolonged complaints and denunciations that have not been resolved completely... Regarding the key tasks in the coming time, he requested that Party committees at all levels, authorities, localities, agencies and units continue to thoroughly grasp and seriously and effectively implement documents of the central government and the province on internal affairs, anti-corruption and negativity. Strengthening information and propaganda work, raising the responsibility of cadres, party members, all levels and sectors in performing internal affairs tasks, preventing and combating corruption and negativity, must create a clear change in this work. Reviewing the programs and plans that have been set out, focusing on directing their completion to ensure progress and quality. Further improving forecasting work, proactively grasping the situation, not being passive or surprised in any situation, resolving complicated cases arising right at the grassroots level. Strengthening the work of receiving people, directly dialogue with people to listen, discuss and direct the resolution of legitimate and legal opinions and recommendations of the people. Focusing on resolving complicated cases without letting them linger or drag on. Focusing on solutions to prevent and combat corruption and negativity; strengthening inspection, supervision and audit work, focusing on sensitive areas that are prone to corruption and negativity. Improve the effectiveness of coordination between functional agencies and relevant agencies and units in detecting and handling violations during inspection, examination, investigation, prosecution, trial, and execution of judgments; resolutely recover misappropriated or lost assets discovered through investigation, examination, and inspection. Promote administrative reform, improve the sense of responsibility and public service ethics for cadres, civil servants, and public employees.
