On the morning of April 24, the Provincial Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption and Negativity (Provincial Steering Committee) held a conference to disseminate and implement a number of new regulations of the Central Government and provide professional training on anti-corruption and negativity work in 2024 for 300 cadres, leaders, directors, and consultants performing cadre work, inspection, examination, investigation, prosecution, trial, and execution of judgments at the provincial and district levels in the province.

Speaking at the conference, Comrade Nguyen Tien Thanh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Deputy Head of the Provincial Steering Committee emphasized: In recent times, the work of preventing and combating corruption and negativity has been carried out resolutely nationwide. The Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Steering Committee have developed plans and strictly implemented the Central's instructions on this content. A number of cases have been focused on directing the settlement and strict trial, and a number of newly arising cases are expected to be included in the list of cases monitored and directed by the Provincial Steering Committee.

He also emphasized the spirit of prevention as the main thing. To prevent well, we must grasp the situation firmly, anticipate complicated situations that may arise in order to prevent them in time. He requested all levels, sectors, and localities to coordinate closely, grasp the situation firmly, do things firmly, focus on resolving them thoroughly, and not let there be any disagreements. At the conference, representatives of the Central Internal Affairs Commission thoroughly grasped and deployed the basic contents of: Regulation No. 114-QD/TW, dated July 11, 2023 of the Politburo on controlling power and preventing and combating corruption and negativity in personnel work; Regulation No. 131-QD/TW, dated October 27, 2023 of the Politburo on controlling power, preventing and combating corruption and negativity in inspection, supervision, enforcement of party discipline and in inspection and auditing activities; Regulation No. 132-QD/TW, dated October 27, 2023 of the Politburo on controlling power, preventing and combating corruption and negativity in investigation, prosecution, trial and execution of judgments. In particular, focusing on: Concept of power and control of power; why it is necessary to control power, prevent and combat corruption and negativity in public service activities; scope of power control; Subjects and responsibilities for controlling power, preventing corruption and negativity; contents, methods, acts of taking advantage of and abusing positions and powers, corruption and negativity; handling violations.

The conference was held to provide key officials of the province and district with timely information on controlling power, preventing corruption and negativity in investigation, prosecution, trial, execution of judgments and other related activities. Thereby, contributing to enhancing the role and responsibility of Party committees, Party organizations, Party members, agencies, organizations and individuals with authority in leading and directing the implementation of litigation, execution of judgments and other related activities according to Party regulations and State laws.
