Today, March 1, Hanoi National University officially launched the High-Tech and Innovation Park (VNU-TIP) located on the university campus in Hoa Lac.

To implement Resolution 57 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU) established the Advanced Technology and Innovation Park (VNU-TIP) to focus resources on promoting international cooperation, cooperation with domestic and foreign enterprises, and investment to develop priority research directions.
Built and developed on an area of 22.9 hectares in Hoa Lac, VNU-TIP is a complex consisting of a number of member scientific research units and support and service centers: Institute of Information Technology, Institute of Natural Resources and Environment, Institute of Microbiology and Biotechnology, Center for Knowledge Transfer and Startup Support, Center for Forecasting and Human Resource Development. This will be an important bridge between scientists, businesses and investors.
This model not only helps incubate technology but also supports the development of applied research, promotes the commercialization of intellectual property and brings research results to the market. VNU-TIP will receive orders from businesses and localities, and develop spin-off and start-up businesses from potential research projects.
The investment in the establishment and development of VNU-TIP has a particularly important strategic significance, in line with the science and technology development strategy and innovation of advanced countries in the world, meeting the requirements of industrialization, modernization, and international integration in the new era of development - the era of the Vietnamese people's rise.
Here, VNU aims not only to train human resources but also to create an ecosystem for research and development of semiconductor technology right in Vietnam.
This is a place to attract resources and create favorable conditions for research and development (R&D), training, incubation, start-ups, innovation, technology transfer, and production of high-tech products in key and spearhead areas: Information technology, Data science, Semiconductor technology, Biotechnology, Environmental science and technology, Pharmaceutical technology, Materials - energy technology. This will be an ideal environment to attract high-quality human resources, domestic and international experts.
At the same time, VNU-TIP is the focal point connecting research institutes - universities - domestic and foreign enterprises; promoting cooperation between training, research and production to create products with Vietnamese brands and also a place to connect Vietnam with the world on the basis of effectively combining production and business with research, receiving and transferring knowledge, applying and developing high technology, creating a driving force to promote industrialization and modernization of the country.
