On March 24, Bac Ninh Provincial Police informed that Thuan Thanh Town Police are temporarily detaining Vu Van Tam (born 2003, residing in Dinh To Commune, Thuan Thanh Town) to investigate the act of "Resisting a person on official duty".
Previously, at around 9:30 p.m. on March 22, Thuan Thanh Town Police set up a checkpoint to check alcohol levels in the area of Dinh To inter-commune road, passing through Dai Trach village.
The scene of the incident where a young man broke through a checkpoint to check alcohol concentration and stabbed a police lieutenant colonel, breaking his bones.
Here, the working group discovered that a young man driving a motorbike with license plate 99F1-503.98 was showing signs of violation, so they signaled him to stop for inspection. When he saw the traffic police, the young man did not comply but drove straight into the police, hitting Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Duc Son - Captain of the Traffic Police - Order Team, Thuan Thanh Town Police. The collision caused Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Duc Son to break his right collarbone and suffer injuries to both legs. Lieutenant Colonel Son was then taken to the emergency room.
At the same time, the task force controlled and arrested the young man and brought him to the headquarters for investigation and clarification.
Leaders of Bac Ninh Provincial Police visited and encouraged Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Duc Son, who is being treated at Xanh Pon General Hospital (Hanoi).
At the police station, the young man gave his name as Vu Van Tam (born 2003, residing in Dinh To commune, Thuan Thanh town (Bac Ninh).
On March 23, leaders of Bac Ninh Provincial Police visited Xanh Pon General Hospital (Hanoi) to visit and encourage Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Duc Son to receive treatment and recover his health soon to continue working.
