Taxi driver returns nearly 700 million VND to person who transferred money by mistake

On September 20, Nguyen Nghiem Ward Police, Quang Ngai City, said that they had completed receiving and witnessed the full refund of the money that a local young man had mistakenly transferred to the taxi driver's account.

Mr. Thuan returned 660 million VND to Mr. Tuan under the witness of Nguyen Nghiem Ward Police.

Previously, Mr. Le Quang Thuan, 41 years old, residing in Duc Nhuan commune, Mo Duc district, a driver of the Green taxi company, received a text message from the bank informing him that 660 million VND had just been transferred to his account.

Suspecting that someone else had mistakenly transferred the money because he himself did not do business or transact such a large amount of money, Mr. Thuan immediately went to Nguyen Nghiem Ward Police to report the incident.

After receiving the report, Nguyen Nghiem Ward Police verified and identified the person who mistakenly transferred the money as Le Anh Tuan, 34 years old, residing in Nguyen Nghiem Ward, Quang Ngai City.

Through contact, Mr. Tuan confirmed that he had just transferred money, but upon checking, it was indeed transferred to someone else's account, not the account that was supposed to receive it.

At the Nguyen Nghiem ward police station, the ward police representative witnessed Mr. Thuan return the entire amount of money to Mr. Tuan.
