Cong Phuong's team targets European coach, but is pushed out by V-League club

After leaving the Thanh team, the coach born in 1976 received many offers, including from Vietnamese representatives.

According to the latest information, coach Velizar Popov is being interested by Binh Phuoc Club.

Previously, this First Division team parted ways with coach Nguyen Anh Duc and appointed Mr. Huynh Quoc Anh as interim coach.

Therefore, Binh Phuoc is quickly looking for a top-class coach to help the team compete for promotion next season.

Currently, Binh Phuoc is ranked 2nd on the rankings with 24 points, 9 points behind the top position of Ninh Binh .

Therefore, Cong Phuong and his teammates probably only aim for second place in the final table, thereby finding a ticket to the promotion play-off.

As for coach Velizar Popov, he said he is receiving many offers but does not want to return to work yet.

“There are 2 domestic clubs and 2 foreign teams contacting me but I am thinking. Because my family is here and is used to life here, I prioritize staying in Vietnam.

I am enjoying life more now than waiting for a new job. By May-June everyone will know.

“I always want to start my journey at each new club at the beginning of the season, where I can implement my curriculum and philosophy as I want. If you take over a new team in the middle of the season, you will not be able to do anything,” the Bulgarian coach revealed.
