Department of Health issues decisions and completes personnel work

At the ceremony, the Department of Health announced the decision to reorganize and establish 3 new functional departments, changing on the basis of merger, including: Department of Medical Affairs and Food Safety, on the basis of merging the Department of Medical Affairs and the Department of Food Safety; assigning Dr. Nguyen Hoang Minh Phuong - Deputy Head of the Department of Medical Affairs and Food Safety to be in charge of operating the Department of Medical Affairs and Food Safety (for a period of 5 years, from March 1, 2025).

Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Quang Hien, Party Secretary, Director of the Department of Health and Pharmacist, CKII Tu Hoang Tuoc, Deputy Director of the Department of Health, presented the decision to the officials.

Establish the Department of Population and Children, on the basis of reorganizing the Department of Population - Family Planning and adding the field of children received from the Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs; receive and appoint Dr. Nguyen Hong Nam to hold the position of Head of the Department of Population and Children (term of 5 years, from March 1, 2025).

Establish the Department of Social Protection and Prevention of Social Evils, on the basis of reorganizing the Department of Social Protection and Prevention of Social Evils and the field of Social Protection, receiving from the Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs; receiving and appointing Mr. Nguyen Van Dat to hold the position of Head of the Department of Social Protection and Prevention of Social Evils.

In addition, newly appointed Dr. Le Nhat Linh, Deputy Head of the Food Safety and Hygiene Sub-Department, to hold the position of Deputy Head of the Medical and Food Safety and Hygiene Department (for a term of 5 years, starting from March 1, 2025); Mr. Dang Huy Chau, Head of the Department of Children - Gender Equality under the Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs, to hold the position of Deputy Head of the Department of Population and Children (at the prescribed retirement age, starting from March 1, 2025); Mr. Huynh Thanh Nghi, Deputy Head of the Department of Social Evils Prevention under the Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs, to hold the position of Deputy Head of the Department of Social Protection and Prevention of Social Evils (for a term of 5 years, starting from March 1, 2025); Mr. Nguyen Thanh Trung, Deputy Head of the Department of Children - Gender Equality under the Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs, to hold the position of Deputy Head of the Department of Population and Children (for a term of 5 years, starting from March 1, 2025).

Appoint Ms. Cuu My Cuc, Head of the Department of Physical Chemistry - Cosmetics of the Center for Testing Drugs, Cosmetics and Food, to hold the position of Deputy Director of the Center for Testing Drugs, Cosmetics and Food. In addition, other functional departments under the Department of Health have not changed their leadership, but still issue appointment decisions after reorganizing leaders and managers.

Speaking at the ceremony, Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Quang Hien, Party Secretary, Director of the Department of Health, respectfully acknowledged and commended the contributions of the officials who received the decision. At the same time, he emphasized that the work of merging, perfecting and rearranging the organization is a policy of the Party, with the aim of streamlining the apparatus and improving operational efficiency. The Department of Health has promptly received the units, made the process of cadres joining forces, quickly, effectively and efficiently. Although there will be some initial difficulties, it is recommended that the officials and civil servants of the sector uphold the sense of responsibility, strive with the collective, unit leaders to unite, agree, and operate effectively, to perform well the political tasks, care for, protect and improve people's health better and better.
