Summary of grassroots democracy regulations work in the first 6 months of 2024

In the first 6 months of the year, the implementation of democracy at the grassroots level achieved many positive results. Agencies, units, Steering Committees of districts, city Party Committees, and affiliated Party Committees have proactively developed plans to effectively implement grassroots democracy; focused on disseminating, informing, and propagating the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws related to implementing democracy at the grassroots level, focusing on the Law on Implementing Democracy at the Grassroots Level, in many diverse forms. Administrative reform has been implemented synchronously and comprehensively. The mechanism of "Party leadership, State management, People's mastery" continues to be effectively implemented, creating consensus in society and strengthening the close relationship between the Party, State and people. The work of dialogue, receiving citizens, handling petitions, complaints, denunciations, and legitimate and legal recommendations and aspirations of people and businesses has been focused on. The spirit, responsibility and attitude of serving the people of the staff, civil servants and public employees are increasingly improved. Thereby, contributing significantly to the socio-economic development and building a clean and strong political system.

Improve the effectiveness of implementing grassroots democracy in conjunction with promoting administrative reform, digital transformation associated with solutions to improve the province's PCI index. Arrange administrative units, streamline payroll and restructure the staff, civil servants, ensuring quality, efficiency, impartiality and objectivity. Strengthen discipline, administrative discipline, innovate working style towards democracy and respect for the people. Innovate the content and methods of operation, diversify new ways of doing things and increasingly "close to the people, close to the grassroots, to residential areas and households". Timely resolve people's petitions and complaints and effectively carry out publicity, transparency, and solicit people's opinions when implementing programs, projects, compensation, support, resettlement, and settlement. Strengthen inspection and supervision; organize preliminary and final assessments according to regulations and promptly commend and reward collectives and individuals with achievements in implementing grassroots democracy regulations.
