With the spirit of youth pioneering digital transformation, the provincial Youth Union at all levels has actively digitized historical revolutionary relics and built a digital map of red addresses. Thereby, helping people and tourists better understand the meaning and value of red addresses in the area. At the same time, educating traditions, arousing pride and love for the homeland and country among union members and young people.

Digitizing red addresses to educate traditions, arouse love for homeland and country Union officials and people learn about the Memorial Site of Comrade Le Huu Lap, the first young communist of Thanh Hoa province, on cyberspace.

To contribute to the promotion and preservation of cultural and historical values, since the beginning of the year, Thieu Hoa District Youth Union has developed a plan and launched a digital transformation youth project in promoting red addresses, historical and cultural relics in the district.

According to Nguyen Duy Nhat, Deputy Secretary in charge of Thieu Hoa District Youth Union: The unit has coordinated with relevant sectors to digitize documents, artifacts, and information about historical revolutionary sites. In 2024, the District Youth Union digitized the "red address" of the historical revolutionary site of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee's Office during the 1967-1973 period in Thieu Vien commune. Digitization helps visitors to the site to visit, research, and study more easily, while helping the younger generation proactively learn about the history and culture of the locality, thereby raising awareness, revolutionary ideals, patriotism, national pride, and building morality and a beautiful lifestyle.

Coming to Ngoc Trao Guerrilla War Zone, Thach Thanh District, with just a simple operation, using a smartphone to scan the QR code posted right at the monument area, information about the history of the revolutionary base of Thanh Hoa province is fully displayed on the phone, helping people and tourists easily access and have conditions to learn more deeply and thoroughly about history. "The youth union bases in the whole district regularly organize journeys to the source here, so the youth project to digitize Ngoc Trao Guerrilla War Zone by Thach Thanh youth will contribute to learning about the relic quickly, conveniently, with full information, contributing to introducing, widely promoting, and educating the tradition of this meaningful revolutionary historical relic", said Secretary of Thach Thanh District Youth Union Luu Hong Hoa.

Mr. Lai Le Hung in Dong Huong ward (Thanh Hoa city) shared: “I love the historical traditions of my hometown so much that I often go to the “red addresses” in the province to visit and learn. Previously, when I went to the red addresses in the province, I was often introduced and explained by tour guides or relic caretakers. However, I did not always meet or have a tour guide with me. Since the implementation of digitizing red addresses, I can know all the information about relics and red addresses very simply and quickly.”

Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union Phung To Linh said: "The Provincial Youth Union has developed a program called "Digitizing red addresses" and deployed it to all levels of the provincial Youth Union. District-level Youth Union units have registered to undertake and deploy more than 60 projects to digitize historical and cultural relics, landmarks and tourist attractions in the area. These data are collected by the Provincial Youth Union to integrate into the Digital Museum of Vietnamese Youth, helping union members and young people to access and learn about historical information, data and artifacts. The implementation of digitizing red addresses was piloted by the Provincial Youth Union, then expanded to localities throughout the province, combined with drawing experience and improving the quality of digital products."

Notably this year, the Provincial Youth Union has digitized the Le Huu Lap Memorial Site in Hau Loc District and the Yen Truong Revolutionary Historical Relic Site with a value of 100 million VND/project. The projects use virtual reality images built with 360-degree flycam scenes from above, 360-degree VR scenes from the ground, describing the most complete, realistic and accurate images of the revolutionary historical relics, and using AI TTS technology for narration. The Youth Union bases also promote the introduction of QR codes on fanpages, associations, groups... of the Youth Union, Association, and Team to educate the tradition to members and youth.

“The implementation of the model of “Digitizing red addresses” not only saves costs in tourism propaganda and promotion but also demonstrates the pioneering, innovative and creative spirit of young people in promoting the application of technology to contribute to promoting smart tourism. The Standing Committee of the Provincial Youth Union will continue to direct the implementation of digitizing information at relics and red addresses in the province. The goal is that by the end of 2024, each unit will digitize information at least one red address in the area,” emphasized Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union Phung To Linh.
