Passionate about creating literature and art

The Provincial Literature and Arts Association currently has more than 300 members participating in activities in 8 specialized branches. Of which, nearly 80 members belong to central specialized branches in the province. Passionate about creating literature and arts, many members have won domestic and international awards with works expressing humanity, rich in traditional cultural identity, realistically and vividly depicting grassroots cultural life. Thereby contributing to affirming that culture is the driving force in building and developing the socio-economy.

2024 continues to be a year of many successes for members of the Literature Association of the Provincial Literature and Arts Association. According to poet Dang Thanh Van, Chairman of the Association, the greatest joy is that in the past 2 years, members of the Association have won high awards from the Vietnam Writers Association. In addition, members are always enthusiastic about composing, investing their heart and mind, sending high-quality poetry and prose works to the public. In the context of difficulties in recruiting young members in the Association, there are many members in their 70s and 80s who are still dedicated to artistic work, an example of diligence and passion.

According to poet Dang Thanh Van, the advantage of artistic creation activities in the current period is that members always receive attention, encouragement, and orientation in artistic ideology from the Standing Committee of the Association. The themes of the works are to praise the glorious Party, great Uncle Ho; history, cultural traditions, patriotism, self-reliance, aspiration to build and develop the homeland... There have been many impressive works by members expressing historical themes, current issues, and achievements of innovation in the homeland and the country. In addition, members have actively responded to creative movements and participated in literary and artistic competitions in and outside the province. This activity created a vibrant atmosphere in literary and artistic creation last year.

The Music and Dance Association currently has 50 members in 3 majors: composition, performance, training, of which 12 members belong to the central major association. In recent times, the Music and Dance Association has had many members who have won high awards from the Vietnam Musicians Association, the Vietnam Dance Artists Association, etc.

People's Artist Vu Dinh Chieu, Chairman of the Association, shared: The members are always enthusiastic about creative work, achieving encouraging results, specifically, the performing arts major currently has a force of artists and actors in art units and district cultural centers. The members of the Association have created and staged many art programs to serve the political tasks of the province and localities, participated in festivals and performances of the central and other sectors, contributing to the success of Art Troupe 3, Cheo Theater at the National Music and Dance Festival in 2024. In the field of composition, the Association's creative force is very abundant. Last year, all members had works participating in national festivals and competitions, notably musician Truong Van Thuc won second prize with the work "Love song on Thai Binh land", musician Thai Duong was awarded a certificate of merit with the work "Remembering Uncle Ho's teachings" at the National Music Festival in 2024; Musician Do Anh Van received the thematic award in the songwriting category at the 2025 songwriting and performance contest about the health sector...

The creative labor of creating literary and artistic works is the passion and the self-motivating need of each artist. The works that are known and enjoyed by the public are the catalyst for artists to live with their profession and passion. Therefore, in recent years, the Provincial Literature and Arts Association has implemented many meaningful and practical activities to support artists in creating and promoting their works.

Regarding the key activities of the branches in the coming time, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Hang, President of the Provincial Literature and Arts Association, informed: 2025 is a year of special importance with many important events of the country and the province; at the same time, activities to summarize 50 years of Vietnamese literature and arts after the country's reunification will also be organized. The Provincial Literature and Arts Association will try to organize a variety of camps, creative training classes, field trips, seminars, talks, book launches, and publication of literary and artistic works with the active participation of members of the branches... We identify the need to further promote the spirit of solidarity, while striving to have many high-quality works to serve political tasks and the needs of people to enjoy cultural and literary values.

Along with the journey of persistent creativity, diversifying the forms of promotion, focusing on popularizing literary and artistic works on platforms, and expanding the space for introducing works are meaningful activities that need to continue to be expanded and encouraged by the Provincial Literature and Arts Association. From the richness in creative and promotional practices, literary and artistic works of members of specialized branches of the Provincial Literature and Arts Association practically contribute to building an advanced culture imbued with national identity.
