Deploying many solutions to ensure traffic safety on National Highway 6

Việt NamViệt Nam16/04/2025

National Highway 6, passing through the two provinces of Hoa Binh and Son La, is always covered in dense fog, drizzle, and slippery road surfaces, posing many potential traffic accident risks. Recently, there have been some particularly serious traffic accidents due to bad weather conditions, fog, slippery roads, etc. Faced with this situation, the Traffic Police and Son La Provincial Police have made great efforts to deploy many solutions to minimize the occurrence of unfortunate traffic accidents.

Recently, LED screens like this have appeared on steep mountain passes in Moc Chau and Van Ho areas...

In dense fog conditions, the information on the screen is still clearly displayed, helping drivers easily observe and have safe driving plans...

Mr. MUI THANH LONG – Van Ho District, Son La Province: This route is often foggy and rainy… having LED lights like this is very useful for drivers…

Lieutenant Colonel DINH VAN HIEN - Head of Traffic Police Department, Son La Provincial Police: Recently, traffic accidents on National Highway 6 have been quite complicated. We have been creative and applied science and technology to traffic work. These screens will change the content of propaganda and warnings.

On bad weather days, when it rains or is foggy, making the road slippery, the mobile patrol teams of the Traffic Police use loudspeakers, lights, and sirens to continuously broadcast warnings to drivers to pay attention to dangerous locations with high risk of accidents.

Mr. NGUYEN CONG TUAN – Bus driver: It’s raining so the road is very slippery. We are used to driving so it’s okay, but for new drivers on this route, it’s good to have the traffic police reminding us…

In addition, leaflets with propaganda content about safe driving, closely following situations that often occur on Highway 6... were also sent by Son La Traffic Police to drivers during the performance of their duties...

Mr. TRAN MANH THANG – Son La City: We are very grateful to the Traffic Police for having such practical activities so that each driver can be more aware…

Major TRAN NGOC LINH – Traffic Police Department, Son La Provincial Police: We regularly combine propaganda with drivers passing through this route… to raise awareness.

The scene of the traffic accident on National Highway 6 in Sap Vat commune, Yen Chau district that killed 6 people and injured 9 others on the night of February 21... is still haunting for many people.

Therefore, in addition to the active participation with specific solutions of the Traffic Police of Son La province... it is necessary for each traffic participant to raise awareness and proactively equip themselves with knowledge and skills when driving vehicles in steep mountain passes and bad weather conditions.
