National Innovation Center to be inaugurated soon

The new facility of the National Innovation Center (NIC) is expected to be officially inaugurated in October 2023 at Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park. On this occasion, from October 28 to November 1, the Vietnam International Innovation Exhibition 2023 (VIIE 2023) will take place at NIC Hoa Lac.

At a press conference organized by the Ministry of Planning and Investment on the morning of August 15, Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment Tran Duy Dong said that after 2 years of construction and overcoming many difficulties due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the new operating facility of the National Innovation Center (NIC) - an agency under the Ministry of Science and Technology, with the function of developing the innovation and startup ecosystem is expected to be officially inaugurated in October 2023 at Hoa Lac High-Tech Park. Thus, after the new facility comes into operation, NIC will have 2 operating facilities including NIC Hanoi (D25 Ton That Thuyet Street) and NIC Hoa Lac.

Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment Tran Duy Dong chaired the press conference on the morning of August 15.

The event is expected to be attended by the Prime Minister and leaders of central and local agencies, embassies and international organizations, large domestic and foreign organizations and enterprises.

With a total working floor area of nearly ^20,000m2 , including 2 working blocks and 1 international conference center block, NIC Hoa Lac is built with a modern scale and advanced equipment, with working, research and development spaces and connecting spaces, creating favorable conditions for organizing innovation activities, seminars, forums and exchanges between domestic and foreign businesses, researchers and experts, promoting research and development activities, technology transfer...

Also on this occasion, from October 28 to November 1, the Vietnam International Innovation Exhibition 2023 (VIIE 2023) will take place at NIC Hoa Lac.

During the 5 days of the Exhibition, there will be activities to display and introduce new products and technologies in 8 key areas of NIC, including: smart factories, smart cities, digital media, environmental technology, cyber security, semiconductor industry, hydrogen and healthcare.

At the same time, on the sidelines of the exhibition, there will be many activities such as international seminars on the semiconductor industry, hydrogen energy, gaming industry; Vietnam Startup Investment Fund (VVS) forum; STEAM festival; Better Choice program...

The exhibition is also an opportunity for businesses to demonstrate and spread the value of their innovative products and services to investors and potential customers through communication activities that can reach tens of millions of Vietnamese users. This is an important platform to promote cooperation and create unlimited investment and business opportunities in many technology fields in Vietnam.
