Taking place over 2 days (July 16-17), the 2023 Ha Tinh Province Folk Song Festival attracted more than 400 artists and actors from 13 typical clubs across the province. At the festival, the clubs performed 43 performances in the form of performances imbued with the colors of local customs and traditional crafts; carrying the sound of modern life praising the Party, Uncle Ho, the spirit of building the homeland, the country, building new rural areas, civilized urban areas...
The Organizing Committee awarded 2 first prizes to the Vi and Giam Folk Song Club of Nam Ha Ward (Ha Tinh City) and the Vi and Giam Folk Song Club of Nguyen Cong Tru (Nghi Xuan); 3 second prizes, 4 third prizes and 4 consolation prizes to the clubs of the localities. The festival has become a special folk art festival, leaving many beautiful impressions in the hearts of the audience.

Currently, the clubs are preparing their minds and getting ready to go to the Nghe Tinh Vi and Giam Folk Song Festival in 2023 (within the framework of the Nghe Tinh Vi and Giam Folk Song Festival 2023, scheduled to be held in Nghe An from July 28 to August 5, 2023).
In addition to the "specialty" of witty singing and responding through the ancient lyrics of "O Luc Soan", the Vi and Giam Folk Song Club of Cam My commune (Cam Xuyen) is also staging additional performances with modern life, the spirit of building a new rural area, and cultural life to participate in the festival in the neighboring province.
People's Artist Vu Thanh Minh - Head of the Vi and Giam Folk Song Club of Cam My Commune shared: "We have carefully staged all the performances, innovating them by combining both Vi and Giam. With this form of performance, we want to convey the essence of each song, bringing deep emotions to the audience."
The Vi Giam Folk Song Club of Son Truong Commune (Huong Son) practiced special performances, invested in costumes and props to participate in the festival in Nghe An.
Representatives of the mountainous district of Huong Son are also actively implementing tasks to prepare for the upcoming inter-provincial festival. Mr. Trinh Ngoc Chung - Director of the Cultural - Communication Center of Huong Son district said: "In addition to choreographing new performances and adjusting the structure of existing performances, we are coordinating with the Vi and Giam Folk Song Club of Son Truong commune to invest in costumes and props to support the performances, maximizing the acting potential of the actors".

The 2023 Vi and Giam Folk Song Festival of Ha Tinh province was considered an unexpected success when it discovered many promising young people with good voices and a passion for the intangible cultural heritage of humanity.
After winning first prize at the provincial festival, students in the Nguyen Cong Tru Folk Song Club are practicing hard with great determination for the inter-provincial festival. This is also an opportunity for young actors to learn and exchange with artists and actors from clubs in and outside the province, contributing to deepening their performance skills and fostering their love for traditional arts.
Mr. Nguyen Sy Chinh - Deputy Director of the Provincial Cultural - Cinema Center said: "After the success of the provincial festival, Ha Tinh has selected 8 clubs to participate in the festival in Nghe An. The units are coordinating to guide the clubs to practice and improve the quality of the competition performances, ensuring the criteria and regulations of the Organizing Committee. Through the competition performances, the clubs will contribute to promoting and introducing to domestic and international friends the quintessence and uniqueness of Nghe Tinh folk songs in general, and the historical, cultural and people traditions of Ha Tinh in particular".
