On August 7, the Da Nang Department of Construction responded to the progress of handling violations related to the Hoa Binh Green project (Son Tra district), Muong Thanh hotel complex and Son Tra luxury apartment building (Ngu Hanh Son district).
The Hoa Binh Green project was granted a construction permit in 2016. The violation at this project was that the investor constructed against the content of the construction permit. Specifically, at the rooftop of block C, the investor built a temporary restaurant, while the construction permit was for a swimming pool.

On the second floor of the building, some rooms and kindergarten classrooms will be converted according to the construction permit into karaoke rooms and spa areas. On the basement parking lot of the building, a temporary warehouse for storing goods is being built.
For this violation, the investor was administratively sanctioned by the People's Committee of Son Tra district in 2019.
Through inspection, the investor, Hoa Binh Company Limited (investor), is voluntarily implementing measures to dismantle the illegal construction work.
In particular, at the rooftop of the tower block adjacent to Nai Hien Dong 20 Street, the investor has covered it with tarpaulin and is dismantling the temporary restaurant. At the 2nd floor of the project, the kindergarten classrooms are empty.
At the basement location, the investor has moved the temporary warehouse for goods under construction and installed a parking system according to the construction permit.
"It is expected that by the end of August, the investor will have a complete report on the above remediation," informed the leader of the Da Nang Department of Construction.

For the Muong Thanh Hotel Complex and Son Tra luxury apartment project, the Da Nang Department of Construction granted a construction permit in 2016. The apartment block at this project was built in violation of the granted construction permit and is being handled by the authorities for violations.
The investor has carried out self-remediation by buying back and self-demolishing 86/86 apartments on floors 2, 3, 5 and 35.
In addition, the investor also proposed a plan to keep the 4th, 41st, and 42nd floors with 78 apartments.
The investor commits to strictly pay back the amount of interest and other expenses (if any) due to the increase in the number of apartments according to state regulations.
However, the Department of Construction of Da Nang considers that this proposed plan does not comply with regulations and has sent an official dispatch requesting the investor to review and report the above contents. The Department of Construction of Da Nang will synthesize and report to the City People's Committee for consideration and decision.
The leader of the Da Nang Department of Construction said that by the end of August, the investor must have a complete report on progress, commitments, and related contents. The violations in the project have existed for a long time, the Da Nang Department of Construction will coordinate with the investor, departments, and branches to try to focus on handling the shortcomings of this project.
