In 2023, under the leadership and direction of the Border Guard Command, the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Committee, the coordination, support and assistance of departments, branches, localities and the trust and assistance of the people in the coastal border area, the Provincial Border Guard Command has proposed many policies and solutions in advising, deploying, organizing and completing assigned political tasks. Notably, it has well organized a political activity with the theme "Keeping the Party member oath" throughout the Party Committee. Maintaining strict implementation of enhancing responsibility, awareness of compliance, promoting dynamism and creativity in performing tasks of officers and soldiers.

At the same time, thoroughly grasp and synchronously deploy border protection tasks and build forces. Organize patrols to protect security and order in maritime border areas; patrol and control at river mouths, beaches and border areas. Through patrols and controls, 105 violations were detected and handled, with administrative fines of more than 432 million VND. Coordinate with the Maritime Port Authority, Coast Guard Region 3, Maritime Search and Rescue Center Region 3, local authorities and on-site forces to participate in supporting and overcoming the consequences of natural disasters.

In the fight against crime, 32 cases/36 drug subjects were discovered and arrested, including the successful establishment and destruction of the BT523 drug case; in coordination with the police, 4 cases/3 subjects were arrested and handled. Presided over the arrest of 4 cases/5 subjects for the act of illegally buying, selling, transporting, and storing weapons and explosives; seized more than 8 kg of TNT explosives, 72 detonators, and 5 homemade guns. For the task of preventing illegal seafood exploitation, the provincial Border Guard units organized nearly 800 legal propaganda sessions for ship owners, captains, and fishermen; handled 3 fishing vessels that arbitrarily removed their journey monitoring devices; advised the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to sanction fishing vessels violating foreign waters according to regulations.

In addition, officers and soldiers of the Provincial Border Guard also participated in making 9 km of concrete rural roads; participated in fighting against sea erosion in coastal border areas. Presented thousands of gifts to policy families, ethnic minorities in difficult circumstances and poor students with good academic performance. Continued to effectively implement the program "Helping children go to school", the model "Adopted children of Border Guard stations"...

Proactively deploy tasks

According to forecasts in 2024, the activities of all types of crimes and law violations will develop unpredictably, especially drug crimes, smuggling, trade fraud, and illegal immigration. In this situation, from the beginning of this year, the Border Guard Command has determined the direction and tasks and launched an emulation movement to implement them. The focus is on effectively implementing the program and plan on the national border protection strategy in the province, organizing a movement for the entire population to participate in protecting territorial sovereignty, national border security and border protection tasks in 2024. Building a strong, compact and sophisticated provincial Border Guard force to meet the requirements of the tasks in the new situation, especially the requirements of digital transformation.

Proactively grasp the situation early and from afar, especially the situation at sea; coordinate to effectively resolve and handle incidents and events occurring in the sea areas, avoiding being passive and surprised. Strictly comply with the combat readiness regime, station troops on guard; participate in the provincial defense area drills, ensure absolute safety; improve the effectiveness of the fight against crime and law violations. Synchronously deploy, resolutely prevent, repel and end the situation of Vietnamese fishing vessels and fishermen violating foreign waters to exploit seafood; resolve emerging social issues, participate in building the grassroots political system, developing the economy, culture, and strengthening national defense and security.

Be ready to participate in search and rescue at sea, overcome the consequences of natural disasters, prevent and fight epidemics when there are situations, protect the safety of life and property of the State and people. Promote the implementation of models to help people eliminate hunger and reduce poverty, consolidate the "people's heart position", build a national border defense, a national border defense position in the national defense, build a strong defense area of the province and coastal border district.
