Colonel Chu Van Tan affirmed: Over the past time, the Provincial Border Guard has always received the attention, leadership and direction of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, and Provincial People's Committee; the coordination and support of departments, branches, agencies, units, localities and the trust of the people. In particular, the dedication and contribution of officers and soldiers working in the Provincial Border Guard force through the periods helped the unit to excellently complete the political tasks assigned by the Party and the State.
On the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the Border Guard's Traditional Day and the 35th anniversary of the People's Border Guard Day, the Provincial Party Committee and Command of the Provincial Border Guard would like to thank them for their affection, trust and support. The Provincial Border Guard hopes to continue to receive the attention, leadership and direction of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Council and People's Committee, the coordination and support of sectors, forces, localities and people so that the Provincial Border Guard can successfully complete its tasks of managing and protecting the sovereignty of the sea and islands, political security, social order and safety in the province's maritime border areas, worthy of being the core force, specializing in managing and protecting the national border and border areas.
It is known that in recent years, the Provincial Border Guard has been regularly recognized and evaluated by the province for its important contributions to the work of building and developing the socio-economy, strengthening national defense and security in the province. In 2023 alone, the Provincial Border Guard Command has closely coordinated with other forces to effectively combat acts of encroachment and violation of the sea; firmly manage and protect sovereignty, border security, sea areas and islands. Effectively deploying plans to respond to and overcome the consequences of natural disasters and search and rescue at sea, is a solid support for fishermen to go offshore.
In addition, many projects and programs have been effectively implemented such as: "Helping children go to school - adopted children of border guards", "Spring on the border guards warms the hearts of the army and people", the project "Army officers and soldiers help children go to school" for children of ethnic minorities;... thereby strengthening the people's border defense more and more, contributing to strengthening the people's national defense and people's security posture.
On the other hand, the organization effectively fights against all types of crimes, especially achievements in the fight against drug crimes. Closely coordinate with the Provincial Police and Military to regularly grasp the situation, promptly advise the Provincial Party Committee and Provincial People's Committee to direct the handling of situations and incidents; deploy preventive measures, combat and neutralize the activities of hostile and reactionary forces, discontented and opposing subjects... maintain political security, ensure social order in the coastal border areas of the province.
With the efforts and achievements, the Provincial Border Guard was honored to continue receiving the emulation flag from the Ministry of National Defense, becoming the unit receiving the emulation flag from the Ministry of National Defense for 3 consecutive years (2021, 2022, 2023). The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also awarded a certificate of merit and emulation flag to the Provincial Border Guard.
