Colonel Chu Van Tan affirmed: Over the past period, the Provincial Border Guard has always received the attention, leadership, and guidance of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Council, and the Provincial People's Committee; the coordination and assistance of departments, agencies, units, and localities; and the trust and affection of the people. In particular, the dedication and contributions of officers and soldiers working in the Provincial Border Guard force throughout the years have enabled the unit to excellently fulfill the political tasks assigned by the Party and the State.
On the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the Border Guard Force's Traditional Day and the 35th anniversary of the National Border Guard Day, the Party Committee and Command of the Provincial Border Guard Force would like to express their gratitude for the affection, trust, and support received. The Provincial Border Guard Force hopes to continue receiving the attention, leadership, and guidance of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Council, and the Provincial People's Committee, as well as the coordination and assistance of various sectors, forces, localities, and the people, so that the Provincial Border Guard Force can successfully fulfill its nhiệm vụ of managing and protecting the sovereignty of the sea and islands, political security, and social order and safety in the province's maritime border area, thus deserving its role as the core, specialized force in managing and protecting the national border and border region.
It is known that over the years, the Provincial Border Guard Command has consistently been recognized and appreciated by the province for its important contributions to the socio-economic development and strengthening of national defense and security in the province. In 2023 alone, the Provincial Border Guard Command closely coordinated with other forces to effectively combat acts of encroachment and violations in the maritime area; firmly managing and protecting the sovereignty and security of the border, sea, and islands. They also successfully implemented plans for responding to and mitigating the consequences of natural disasters and conducting search and rescue operations at sea, providing a solid foundation for fishermen to venture out to sea.
In addition, many projects and programs have been effectively implemented, such as: "Helping children go to school - children adopted by border guard posts", "Spring at the border guard post warms the hearts of soldiers and civilians", the project "Army officers and soldiers helping children go to school" for children of ethnic minorities;... thereby strengthening the all-people border defense system, contributing to consolidating the all-people national defense and the people's security posture.
On the other hand, the organization has effectively combated various types of crime, notably achieving outstanding results in the fight against drug crimes. It closely coordinates with the Provincial Police and Military to regularly monitor the situation, promptly advising the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee on directing the effective handling of situations and incidents; implementing preventive measures and neutralizing the activities of hostile and reactionary forces, disgruntled individuals, and dissidents… maintaining political security and ensuring social order in the coastal border areas of the province.
With their efforts and achievements, the Provincial Border Guard Command was honored to receive the emulation flag from the Ministry of National Defense again, becoming the unit to receive the Ministry of National Defense's emulation flag for three consecutive years (2021, 2022, 2023). The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also awarded a certificate of merit and an emulation flag to the Provincial Border Guard Command.
