Launching the "Godmother" program at Y Ty Border Guard Station

“Godmother” for disadvantaged students in border areas is a new model and approach associated with the program “Accompanying women in border areas” and the “Skillful mass mobilization” work of the border guards.

Currently, there are 28 kind-hearted households in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Hung Yen, Bac Giang, Nghe An... sponsoring 30 disadvantaged students in the two communes of Y Ty and A Lu, with a support level of 500,000 VND/child/month; Phase 1 of the program will be implemented from 2024 - 2029.

This is the second time that Y Ty Border Guard Station has launched the “Godmother” program. The first time, they received 15 children; this time, they also received and supported 15 children.

The "Godmother" program has a very humane meaning, a solid foundation for children in special and difficult circumstances to rise up in life.
