Tam Ky opens the Festival "Tam Ky - Sua Flower Season 2025"

On the evening of April 11, at Huong Tra Eco-village, Tam Ky City People's Committee opened the "Tam Ky - Sua Flower Season 2025" Festival with the theme "Brilliant yellow flowers". Attending the opening ceremony were Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Phan Thai Binh, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission Huynh Thi Thuy Dung, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Nam Hung, and Secretary of Tam Ky City Party Committee Nguyen Thi Thu Lan.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Minh Nam - Vice Chairman of Tam Ky City People's Committee, Head of the Organizing Committee affirmed: The festival "Tam Ky - Sua flower season 2025" is an important cultural - tourism event, the annual tourism event at the beginning of the year of the City to promote the image of Tam Ky land and people to domestic and international friends; besides, it is an opportunity to honor and spread the beauty of the yellow Sua flower - a typical flower; a heritage tree of Tam Ky land.

Huong Tra village, where the festival takes place, stands out with its hundreds of years old Sua trees, creating a cool, poetic green space, especially during Sua flower blooming season. This event is not only an opportunity for Tam Ky city residents to express their love for their homeland's landscape, but also an opportunity for visitors to experience the unique cultural and historical values of this land.

This year’s festival takes place from April 10 to 13, with many exciting activities such as the Spring Offering Ceremony, the “Sparkling River and Water on the Full Moon Night” Lantern Festival, the “Charming Huong Tra” Ao Dai performance, traditional boat racing, the Huong Tra Discovery Marathon, and local art and culinary exhibitions. These activities promise to bring visitors and locals impressive experiences. The “Tam Ky – Sua Flower Season” Festival in 2025 is an important step in the strategy of developing green tourism, community tourism and preserving the city’s traditional cultural values.
