Yesterday, October 25, in the process of expanding the area where martyrs' remains were discovered in Ta Rung village, Huc commune, Huong Hoa district, Quang Tri province, the Martyrs' Remains Collection Team of Economic-Defense Group 337 (Military Region 4) discovered and collected 2 martyrs' remains. Of these, 1 martyr was identified as Truong Thanh Y, originally from Ha Nam Ninh province, now Nam Dinh province.
Accordingly, 2 HCLS found at a depth of 1.2m were wrapped intact in the tank and hammock, with many teeth, arm bones, leg bones, jaw bones and many bone fragments. The relics also include: tank, hammock, parachute cord, shoe sole, thick button, fountain pen, shirt button, and group badge. In particular, HCLS No. 8 has a 5cm long aluminum piece engraved with the words Truong Thanh Y - 21/1.

Immediately after the discovery, the HCLS Collection Team of the 337th Military Economic Group organized to bring the 2 HCLS to the Spiritual Cultural Area of Huong Hoa District for care, incense offering, and preservation. At the same time, they continued to expand the search area around the location where the HCLS were discovered.
Through verifying the list of martyrs who died in the area handed over by the units, there is information about martyr Truong Thanh Y, born in 1948; hometown: Nghia Thinh, Nghia Hung, Ha Nam Ninh (now Nam Dinh); unit: C21, E9, F304. Died on January 20, 1968.

It is known that on July 22, 2024, while cultivating coffee trees, Mr. Ho Van Tham in Ta Rung village, Huc commune, Huong Hoa district discovered relics suspected to be HCLS and reported to the HCLS Collection Team of Economic-Defense Group 337. Immediately upon receiving the information, the Collection Team organized a search and recovered 2 HCLS.
Thus, in Ta Rung village, Huc commune, up to now, 9 HCLS have been collected (all are wrapped intact in tombs and hammocks; the graves are in a straight line, 1m apart; the HCLS still have many bones and relics such as: tombs, hammocks, leather wallets, personal mirrors, buttons, parachute cords, special forces baseball caps; thick buttons, tomb buttons, information coils, group badges, thick soles, belts, plastic bottles, boxes of yellow star balm...).
