The Tourism Development Support Fund (under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) and Grab Vietnam have just signed a 5-year cooperation agreement.
This signing aims to support the goal of promoting and promoting the development of Vietnam tourism, contributing to accelerating digital transformation in the tourism industry. Thereby creating new driving forces for socio-economic development in Vietnam.
The signing ceremony of the cooperation agreement took place under the witness of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Prime Minister of the Republic of Singapore Lawrence Wong, during the official visit to Vietnam of Singaporean Prime Minister Lawrence Wong.
The cooperation agreement will facilitate the promotion of Vietnam's tourism image to domestic and international tourists and contribute to the digital transformation journey, promoting the sustainable development of the tourism industry.
Within the framework of cooperation, Grab will become a preferred transportation and e-commerce partner, continuing to make practical contributions to improving the experience of tourists when coming to Vietnam with a seamless service chain from transportation, delivery, ordering food, goods, cashless payments, etc.
The two sides will focus on key areas such as leveraging technological strengths to promote digital transformation associated with communications and promoting Vietnamese tourism. Promoting digital transformation to promote local cuisine and specialties.
Mr. Alejandro Osorio, Managing Director, Grab Vietnam, shared that tourism is one of the important sectors contributing to Vietnam's GDP growth and is oriented to become a key economic sector of the country by 2030.
