Thanh Hoa University of Culture, Sports and Tourism won the International Student Competition

In the final match on the afternoon of March 30 of the tournament organized by Thanh Nien Newspaper, Thanh Hoa University of Culture, Sports and Tourism not only affirmed its strength but also marked a historical milestone for Vietnamese student football when it defeated Lao University and won the championship.

The journey to the championship of Thanh Hoa University of Culture, Sports and Tourism was not easy. This student football team had to compete at a high frequency, 10 matches within 28 days (3 days/match).

Despite their physical disadvantages, the players representing Vietnamese students still fought with the highest determination.

In the final, the match was balanced until the 19th minute, when defender Xaysombath Bounphaeng (Laos University) cleared the ball into his own net, helping the Vietnamese team take a 1-0 lead. In the 37th minute, Le Van Thuc made a tricky shot, doubling the gap to 2-0.

In the second half, Lao University rose strongly. In the 43rd minute, Khamkheng soloed past three defenders of Thanh Hoa University of Culture, Sports and Tourism and scored to reduce the score to 1-2. However, the resilient defense of the Thanh Hoa team stood firm, preserved the victory and won the championship.

With the international championship, Thanh Hoa University of Culture, Sports and Tourism officially completed the double title in 2025. This is not only a source of pride for the school, but also opens up a great opportunity for Vietnamese student football to reach further in the international arena.
