At the meeting, after listening to the report of the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Quang Tri province Nguyen Dang Quang on the economic, cultural and social development situation, the members of the working delegation highly appreciated the development achievements of Quang Tri province in recent times. The delegates suggested that the province create more new tourism products to attract more tourists; focus on establishing a Planning Advisory Council to soon complete the planning work; continue to pay attention to taking care of national martyrs' cemeteries as well as local martyrs' cemeteries in the province, take care of the work of gratitude, constantly improve the material and spiritual life of people with meritorious services and families with preferential policies; continue to do a good job in social security and poverty reduction...
In his concluding remarks at the meeting, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue conveyed the regards of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong to the Party Committee, government and people of Quang Tri province.
The National Assembly Chairman emphasized that after 34 years of re-establishment, Quang Tri is gradually renewing and developing. From a province heavily affected by war, harsh natural conditions, large policy beneficiaries, a very low starting point of the economy, purely agricultural, poor technical facilities, backward urban infrastructure, people's lives facing many difficulties; but with the spirit of solidarity, efforts and high determination of the entire political system, Party Committee, government and people of the province, Quang Tri has now made a breakthrough and made important steps of development.

Infrastructure is increasingly complete with a smooth traffic system; agricultural production, energy industry, agricultural processing, services and marine economy are given attention for development; the investment and business environment continues to improve, strongly attracting foreign investment; many new movements and new development opportunities appear in attracting renewable energy projects and highly efficient agricultural projects. People's lives are gradually improved... It can be seen that Quang Tri is increasingly becoming a fairly good province in the region, creating a new, more dynamic appearance, the scale of the economy is increasingly expanding, contributing to the overall development of the country.
The National Assembly Chairman highly appreciated the methodical leadership and direction of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee and the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee in implementing the Resolutions of the 13th National Party Congress and the Resolutions of the Provincial Party Congress, demonstrated through 9 projects on the field of party building, 5 thematic resolutions on socio-economics and party building, 10 thematic conclusions on socio-economics, 30 directives, 35 regulations, 34 thematic action plans and programs; 256 notices of conclusions and directions in the fields of socio-economics, national defense and security, party building, and political system building. The Provincial People's Council and the Provincial People's Committee issued and implemented 233 resolutions, projects, and programs on local policies to concretize the Resolutions of the Party Congress and the resolutions of the National Assembly and the Government to suit the reality of the province. In the implementation organization, there have been many innovations, establishing Steering Committees, paying attention to promoting the strength of the entire political system, enhancing the role of elected agencies and elected representatives at the local level, promoting the tradition of the heroic homeland, and paying attention to training and fostering cadres.

Emphasizing the great potential and strengths of Quang Tri in culture, the National Assembly Chairman suggested that Quang Tri carefully study and propose to include cultural elements of Quang Tri in the draft National Target Program on Cultural Development to submit to the National Assembly for consideration and decision.
Agreeing with the opinion of Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung on emphasizing the element of "aspiration for peace" in Quang Tri, the National Assembly Chairman said that as the land that suffered the most fierce bombs and bullets during the two long resistance wars of the nation, Quang Tri is a suitable place to express the "aspiration for peace".
"The fourth is that "the desire for peace" is a very important element in the development strategy of human culture. I suggest that the provincial planning has not been approved. If we want to attract international visitors here, we need a national-scale war relics museum. This element should be included in the national target program of cultural development strategy. But clearly, only spiritual tourism and historical and revolutionary tourism are mainly domestic visitors. But if it is a symbol of the desire for peace, Quang Tri is also a very suitable place to talk about the desire for unification, that is the symbol of Ben Hai River, Parallel 17. This is a great asset, how can the whole world come here", said the Chairman of the National Assembly.
In addition, Quang Tri can also consider organizing a Peace Festival. According to the National Assembly Chairman, with the slogan “Aspiration for Peace” and the War Remnants Museum, Cultural Festival, exploiting the Con Co - Cua Viet - Cua Tung tourism triangle, enhancing spiritual tourism and developing the accommodation system to serve tourists, Quang Tri can completely attract a large number of tourists from all over the world.

Praising the outstanding achievements that the Party Committee, government and people of Quang Tri province have achieved in the recent past, the National Assembly Chairman also requested that Quang Tri province in general and the People's Council of Quang Tri province in particular focus on removing the bottlenecks and obstacles that have been pointed out, continue to perfect institutions to create development; speed up the progress of public investment projects, infrastructure, economy and society, especially key and important projects of the province; national target programs, economic recovery and development programs.
