
In order to preserve the unique and typical values of the relic, the People's Committee of Quang Nam province has just sent an official dispatch to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism requesting the appraisal of the Task of establishing a Plan for the preservation, restoration and rehabilitation of the special national relic My Son Temple Complex (Duy Xuyen district), Quang Nam province until 2030, with a vision to 2050.
The planning boundary of this phase is determined based on the planning boundary of My Son relics in the 2008 - 2020 period approved by the Prime Minister under Decision No. 1915, dated December 31, 2008, with an area of 1,158 hectares.
The main contents of the planning task include: Determining the requirements for research, survey, and assessment of the current status of the relic; Determining the characteristics and typical values of the relic; Contents on the orientation for preservation, restoration, and rehabilitation of the relic; Orientation for organizing architectural space, landscape, and construction of new works; Plan for implementing the relic planning.
According to the Provincial People's Committee, the task of establishing a plan for the preservation, restoration and rehabilitation of the special national relic My Son Sanctuary in Quang Nam province until 2030, with a vision to 2050, was established and completed in accordance with Decree No. 166, dated December 25, 2018 of the Government and the comments of relevant agencies, organizations, individuals and communities.
Quang Nam Provincial People's Committee requested the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to review and submit to the Prime Minister for approval.
