Quang Nam invests 4,000 billion VND to prevent flooding in Tam Ky city

According to the official dispatch, after reviewing the proposal of the Department of Planning and Investment in the submission (dated November 7), along with the submission of the Provincial Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board (PPMB) (dated October 30), the People's Committee of Quang Nam province agreed to assign the Provincial Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board to prepare a proposal for the Tam Ky City Flood Control project, with a total estimated investment of 4,000 billion VND.

The Provincial People's Committee assigned the Provincial Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board to be responsible for coordinating with relevant sectors and localities to prepare project proposals in accordance with regulations, advise the Provincial People's Committee to work with sponsors to promote loan capital and submit to competent authorities for approval...

In recent times, Tam Ky City has conducted many studies and implemented a number of solutions to prevent flooding. However, after many recent heavy rains, Tam Ky still experiences localized flooding in many areas. Frequent flooding in the inner city causes many difficulties for people's daily life and travel.
