The Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee authorized Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee Nguyen Manh Ha to chair the conference.

The conference assessed that since the beginning of the year, Party committees, Party organizations and authorities at all levels have focused on leading and directing the implementation of internal affairs, preventing corruption, waste, negativity and judicial reform, achieving quite comprehensive results.

Cases and incidents are strictly handled according to the provisions of law. Inspection, examination, supervision, reception of citizens, handling of citizens' petitions; prevention of corruption, waste and negativity are implemented strictly and seriously.

Judicial reform and coordination between provincial and district prosecution agencies have been strengthened, especially in handling and resolving complicated cases and incidents with different opinions among prosecution agencies; a number of corruption cases involving Party members have been handled and resolved by the Standing Committees of provincial and district Party Committees in accordance with Party regulations and State laws.

Representatives of leaders of provincial internal affairs agencies and local Party committees discussed and clarified the achieved results, limitations and difficulties in internal affairs, anti-corruption, waste, negativity, and judicial reform in the first quarter of 2025.

Giving a forecast for the situation in the coming time, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee Nguyen Manh Ha emphasized 10 key groups of tasks and requested Party committees, Party organizations, agencies, units and localities to focus on effective implementation.

In particular, continue to focus on organizing, disseminating, propagating and promptly issuing leadership and direction documents, effectively implementing the State's policies and laws on internal affairs, preventing corruption, waste, negativity and judicial reform in the province.

In the first quarter of 2025, the whole province had 176 criminal cases (a decrease of 139 cases, a rate of 44.1% compared to the same period last year); investigated and discovered 157/176 cases (a rate of 89.2%); prosecuted 128 cases/303 defendants; prosecuted 87 cases/172 defendants for the crime of illegal drug trafficking and possession; arrested, discovered, and caught red-handed 68 cases/306 subjects committing crimes and violating the law on gambling.

The whole province organized 2,252 receptions/2,472 people/2,235 cases (an increase of 0.4% in the number of receptions, a decrease of 7.3% in the number of people and an increase of 4.9% in the number of cases compared to the same period last year); there were 10 large delegations, a decrease of 28.6% in the number of delegations compared to the same period last year.

On that basis, 2,517 petitions of all kinds were received (down 18.5% compared to the same period last year). The relevant agencies processed 2,517 petitions; of which, 2,323 petitions were eligible for processing; after processing, there were 143 complaints, 30 denunciations and 2,150 petitions and reflections.

The investigation agencies at all levels of the Provincial Police accepted and investigated 25 cases/45 defendants for corruption and position-related crimes; of which, last year, 20 cases/37 defendants were transferred; 5 new cases/8 defendants were prosecuted. The People's Courts at two levels accepted 24 cases/52 defendants, resolved and tried 17 cases/33 defendants; the remaining 7 cases/19 defendants are being resolved.
